we finally have a talented youth team, especially: albertazzi, zigoni, verdi, de vito... even other young milan guys are out there like paloschi, darmian, di gennaro, etc.. and we still have guys like adiyiah and hottor who we just recently purchased... its been a while since weve had good youth and its exciting.. now we need a few players for right now until our youth gets a little older

He is talented no doubt, but physically has to grow like any youngster, I hope our Milan Lab + GYM can help Verdi to improve his physical aspect and build his body without any complications.

We need some more fast players in the attack of our first team, someone who can be as fast as Pato when we are attacking. Verdi would be a good option here because he has the pace and can do something with the ball. If we can get him better physically, make his body stronger, then he can be great for us. I hope Allegri gives Adiyiah and Verdi much playing time in the friendlies before the season starts, we need to improve those young guys and let them play regularly for our first team. I think Oduamadi too will be in the first team, so another fast good guy for our attack, exactly what we need.
I hope Galliani kicks out Mancini, I don't want to see him here again, better to have players like Verdi, Odu and Adi in our first team.

well seeing guys like Ozil, Marin, hazard, I think Verdi is pretty much set to be like them (they're all small :eek:

) if he gets comfortable playing in the serie A soon. Hopefully Allegri can work him up, get him the confidence to play, step by step building his overall quality so he can blossom

Well he signed a proffesional contract. He's gonna be amazing. I have high hopes for Verdi, Strasser, Albertazzi, Zigoni, Beretta, Fossati, Daminuta and Filkor. We have some damn good youth team.

I also read that today, so now that he has the professional contract this could mean he joins the first team. At least it means that he will surely stay at Milan, maybe he will play Primavera and first team next season, where he is needed more at the moment then.
I hope he will be a big star, would be great to have some future stars in our youth.

yeah it looks like Verdi is the player that has a big shot in playing for the first team next season, the exciting thing if fossati manage to break through as well, both of them actually came from the same class of youth (they played together at the Giovanissimi Nazionali few years ago before Fossati moves to Inter) Fossati and Verdi partnership could happen again :tongue:

After a brilliant season playing for the Allievi Nazionale where he scored 16 goals, he made his debut for the Youth team in the Italian Cup against Novara on January 13, 2010.

after that first goal, his confidence rose extremely. only to have gotten injured. damn man! he'd have done alot more were he not injured on the pitch there. and his foot made contact with the ground really awkwardly as he was regaining his balance after the challenge. hmm, would've loved to see more of him. hopefully it's not serious.

On a serious note he looks real talented. Made some good runs last 2 days to get in goal scoring positions. Unlucky not to have finished em. Good for an 18 year old .

Been so long since milan has had a short guy who can dribble, and is quick turning like verdi. Possibly best dribbler on team now

I think this kid in 1 year could turn out to be our own version of Inter's Balotelli finding and could be where Jovetic and Pranjic are now. He seems to be a smart player , fast and make good runs. His finishing was not that good.

We have made this discussion many times before of teaming Pato with a fast paced SS. If we end up not buying any CF and keeps Borrielo and Hunterlaar, maybe once in a while we should just start with Pato as CF and Verdi as SS. One year later just like how Antonini managed to kick Zambrotta and Janko out of first 11, Verdi can do the same to Hunter and Borrielo.

Pity for the injury.
It's important Allegri shows faith in our younger players. We have the potential to earth some good squad players which can contribute to Milan in future seasons with the possibility of developing the odd superstar.

Verdi is a big talent and it's good to see him getting chances in matches like we had this weekend at the Emirates Cup. He showed really good performances, he could have scored a goal or more, but he is really young and mistakes are allowed, he will learn from it

I hope his injury is nothing serious and he will be back on the pitch very soon. He can add much to our attack, now and in the future. Verdi also did well at the point he helped Borri to score the goal. Really good assist he made there. Good that Allegri lets him play, that will help him.
