MVB organized Milan's midfield well during the second half of the scudetto winning season.
Next season he did better than you're giving him credit for.
2.8 tackles per game 2.1 interceptions over the season. Not to shabby IMO.
DDR had 2.1 tackles per game and 3.2 interceptions over the same time period.
The guy was class. He wasn't fast but his positioning was excellent. Read the game well. Kept the tempo of the midfield solid. He was better than average even in the twilight of his career.
Fair enough, he was excellent for us during his stay, still not lusting for his gravy tho
