for 8.5 million a season I'd want a first team player, and thats something he's not been, so this is a make or break season for me. Ambro and Gatt are nearing the end of their careers, although Gatt has turned back the clock in the last couple of matches, he just cant do it for 90 minutes... So if Flam's doesnt cemment a starting position, I'm affraid I'd rather his wages paid for 2 starting 11 players.

like it or not gattuso and ambrosine will get contract renewals based on form/status and boatang is a better box to box player, so the opportunity's will be limited
flamini is our best RB but refuses to play RB so thats a guarenteed start gone.
he is on very high wages and an epl team would gladly pay 10m-15m for him which makes our choice simple, if he refuses to play RB then by the end of the year if he has not ripped a first team spot from a senator (it can be done e.g pato, boatang, antonini ) then he should be sold strasser promoted and a WB bought with his transfer fee

agreed..i really wanna see flams. get into a consistent starting position for us in the starting 11..he needs to get starts from the beginning of the match and see how he does..

He is a quality player, no doubt.
But if managment doesn't see him useful - sell.
We took decent money for Hunt, I am sure Flamini is more desired.

It doesn't seem like Flamini is going to be a starter, and I don't see really why he should. In our 4-3-1-2 (I hope we keep playing like this) we are best IMO with a midfield of Gattuso (our best DM at the moment), Pirlo and Boateng (who I also prefer over Flamini). Though, Flamini (along Ambrosini) makes sense as first backup for both Gattuso and Boateng. So even though I don't think he should be a starter in midfield, he should have played more than he has.

Our starting fullbacks are Zambrotta and Antonini. First backups are Abate and Bonera. I believe Flamini is a better fullback than both Abate and Bonera, or at least I want to see Flamini given the chance to prove this. I except Flamini to be at least our 3rd best fullback. Maybe he can even earn a starting spot as fullback given how awful our fullbacks are. Unfortunality, Flamini doesn't like to play as a fullback which I find a shame since I think we really can use him there (also).

Flamini earns a lot and fails to get a starting spot. This season he didn't show he should be a starter in our midfield IMO. As fullback it has been a long time he played there which is no surprise because he wants to play as a midfielder. Even though I believe Flamini is a good player, he is not good enough compared to what he earns. I rather sell/swap him and sign a proper fullback (and also sign a new midfielder then - cheap and young for example).

Whats his reason 4 turning down the FB role if he really was decent @ it? I dont see allegri benching ringhio at all with him being this good. If he doesnt want 2 be fielded as FB just cuz hes better as DM than thats lame and might cost him his career in milan. Step up flamz, zambrotta is shit and we need something better till winter market opens.

+1:star:

I don't know why either! I also think it's lame! He's earning freaking much to be a Milan player but at the same time he refuses to be one as a fullback. :head: I really would love to see Flamini playing as a fullback again for us. We need him there.

It's obious that Allegri prefers to pick tired Gattuso 3 tomes a week that something is wrong. Ancelloti didn't play him, Leo didn't and Allegri same.
Maybe he just doesn't fit in and its not his football or trainning commitment. It was se with Ibra at Barca and Hunt wih Milan. I don't understand why we just don't sell him in winter- he is one of not many players we have that we can actually sell cor good money

Thought Flamini would play more for Allegri after what he said about Flamini at the start of the season... maybe hes just not match fit ready yet

I personally think they've had a falling out. There's no other reason for him to be treated this way. I don't think even Carlo or Leo let him go through so many games without even a subs appearance.

Flamini played so good in the pre-season, i don't get it, why he don't get a chance? about 3 or 4 games? slowdorf and gattuso's time are over. flamini needs a coach who trust him, than he's way better than gattuso and seedorf, maybe ambrosini as well.

its time for a midfield with boateng and flamini, they are hungry for victories, they would do everything to win and never would joke with the coach of the enemies, while we are with 2 goals behind...

PRO midfield with flamini, pirlo and boateng. just two games, they deserve a chance.

i agree..lets try something new with our midfield, in resting or not playing any of our golden oldies for a match or so, and throw in flams and boateng with pirlo in the midfield, and let do their thing..couldn't hurt thats for damn sure, considering how our midfield plays currently..

Anyone else think we might as well sell Flamz while we can still get something for him? Regardless of any form he might hit with consistent games, he's never going to get those consistent games. I really like the guy, but his wages seem to be paying for him to show up to Milanello and drive an Audi around.

I hope we do and of course invest in a good replacement. The guy cant cut it in Italy ,his fucked in the head.I thought with time his going to learn to control his temper on the pitch and stop making fouls needlessly .But sadly that didn't happen,he has the skills to be a good CM but he lacks the brains.

Another coach doesn't rate Flamini, maybe he just isn't cut out to play here.

Flamini was great in preseason, but then got hurt and hasnt really gotten a chance since then. All the bashing of him is not needed. Sadly the only players that get a chance to make mistakes are our old guys. Seedorf or whomever messes up and gets tons of chances to redeem themselves, our younger players either are awesome at the beginning or dont get a chance

He had a chance vs Ajax and was bad, of course he can play better than that. But still, the thing is Gattuso is on fire right now, it would be stupid to bench him for Flamini. The same happened when Ambro outperformed him.

i think flamini should get 45 minutes for gattuso vs juve though, gattuso can't play 90s twice a week without burning out eventually. and we need a fresh gattuso vs rm, and a fresh kpb too

I am sure flamini will get his chance soon seeing that boateng and gattuso are both 1 card away from suspension........unless......of course......... Ambrosini recovers and is preferred ahead of him.:rolleyes:

Maybe not Juve game, but I think its time for him to play. If we can't trust flamini to come off our bench and do the job then we're in alot of trouble as team. These players must play! Besides gettin stupid cards I never seen flamini do the wrong thing. And I've paying close attention to him and his movement in the final third is very good always seems to find himself in good positions and as far as I'am concerned thats what wee need from our midfield.

althought gattuso has been having very good performances as of late, flams. needs to be the one to come on for gattuso as soon as he starts getting tired..we can't afford to get a gattuso with tired legs on the pitch all game and flams is just the player to bring on..

Yes ... thats because Allegri's locked him in a room full of tapes, boards and dummies that explain how a three man midfield works. There's a test in that room which Flamini is supposed to pass, before which, he cannot leave the room. Don't worry though ... he's given food and there is equipment in that room to keep him physically fit. Also, Allegri makes it a point to check Flamini's answer sheet twice a day, just in case there's a breakthrough. Cause as soon as he understands how a three man midfield works, he'd most probably walk straight into the starting lineup.

Lets see... Allegri asked him NOT be sold and still doesn't play him. Perhaps his hype outweighs his ability.

Flamini must be on a way out, that is for sure.
Allegri to buy first needs to sell and realized Flams no good for Milan. I bet he goes in January, at least we would have funds to pay for Prince.
