if he remained uninjured and actually stayed in form hes very useful and one of the better rbs in serie a, atleast on the defensive side of things. His offensive contribution is good, but the man still can not cross.

Great cross. Almost got burned/nutmegged by Boye later but he made up for it. Held off emotional teammates when protesting the ref. It's good to see Abate step up and become a leader

He has always been pretty passionate about the team and is an academy product. He isnt an elite player or anything, but someone like him makes more sense to be captain than Monty.

We may complain about him and his poor crosses, but at least he's got some obvious qualities, like being strong and fast... something you can't say about our other fullbacks
