Nigel de Jong actually does well for Oranje and even seems to have gotten his starting spot back, despite Strootman having done well for the national team over the (few) years.

As long the starting trio of MVB, De Jong and Sneider is fit, Strootman will not start, for this Euros at least.

Strootman is no more than just a potential atm.

3 games of friendly, Strootman started none, only played 5mins of the game as substitute. Lol, Strootman being rested for the Euros???

Just watch the match against N. Ireland. The passing between the midfielders is crazy! This is why they are starters, and Strootman is a five minute substitute.

Though, Ireland is quite as bad as Faroe Island in this game :lol:

no, the starting line-up we saw today is the one for the Euros, I think, except Vlaar cuz Mathijsen being injured currently

also nedtherlands have stijn schaars, lucaiano narsingh who is a winger, affelay, adam maher, theo jannsen, demy de zeeuw and Siem de jong. Sol lot of quality there, they dont have to use midfielders, could easily play with two wingers and use mvb plus strootman/dejong in the middle. robben and narisngh/affelay cna play as wingers. Sneijer as AM and RVP as a loen striekr in a 4 4 1 1 formation.

The Daily Record says Ferguson is weighing up a £14million move for Dutch midfield enforcer Strootman.

Fergie has kept tabs on the PSV Eindhoven star, with Darren Fletcher’s long-term Manchester United future still unclear.

Strootman, in the Holland squad preparing to face Denmark later this afternoon, is also facing uncertainty following Mark van Bommel’s return to PSV.

That could clear the way for United to swoop for the 22-year-old, whose combative style been compared to Roy Keane’s.

wel, i can believe it. it was too good anyway. just like sahin. signings such as these are too healthy and too good for us. we rather make the signings that will have us ketch our arses to beat the likes of parma/chievo/novara/cesena. because that is what was happening last season, much less for the big teams.
