4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1 is a good idea. It will give us extra man in midfield who can press Brozovic. 4-4-2 would be a suicide

4411. Probably a 4231 in attack. Our right side is still sus, hope they don’t leak goals like the last derby.

Edit: I didnt get to watch the Verona game, was Calabria convincing? Conti’s defending is scary, I’d prefer Calabria if he starts playing like he did preGiampaolo.

No Calabria was bad, below Conti's recent performances.

I really like this formation, it relies on a huge amount of running from Hakan, Rebic and Samu - thankfully that is their forte.

Deflectoglu will be in prime position to unleash.

WHat !! Does he have the coronavirus or the transfervirus ... ? Not on the pitch I am happy for us. I can stand Lukaku without this poison at front

No Bona starting please
He was a passenger in the last game, if the tempo is high he will be swept aside

Lol bonaventura

Cant be right. He's too slow. If we're going to play a formation where we'll get overrun in midfield then we need to atleast be able to hit them on the counter with speed. Rebic instead of that turtle please.

It could be that he wants to insert a fresh Rebic against a tired inter RWB.

The RWB won't be that tired if he's only had to stroll past Jack a few times.

Exactly. That turtle aint getting us nowhere.
You put on Leao if you want to mess around and confuse their tired defence.

That’s my opinion too. I’m just trying to understand Piolis reasoning.

Rebic at LW, in front of Theo and Bennacer-Kessie, in a 4-2-3-1 against Inter is a high risk, high reward move.

If Pioli opts for Bona then he's probably trying to avoid another trashing like Atalanta. He'll take a boring draw.

Personally, I think the worst thing that could happen is a bad, ambitionless performance AND loss, like the ones under Rino.
I hope Pioli takes the all or nothing approach with Rebic.

Maybe to give Theo more of an attacking license and for Bona to “cover”

The problem is this attacking license will be triggered once Maradonaventura decides to PASS the ball...

Good to see Bennacer back. Would prefer to see Leao over Samu but maybe his pace as a sub in the second half could cause real trouble for tired Inter legs.

Is Martinez suspended for Inter?

I hope Pioli takes the all or nothing approach with Rebic.

The last two times he tried to play it safe with Bonaventura he pulled him out embarrassingly early. I think he learned a lesson. Would love to see Rebic on the left tonight and Hakan behind Ibra, finally being played in the position he's supposedly most suited for. I just hope Ibra doesn't get too frustrated if we drop too deep and Hakan isn't fast enough to latch on to his flick ons.

Just checked. He was subbed last three games he played, 46, 76, 64. He's becoming a liability.

Ideally, Hakan can help bring the RW and LW into the game.

Spread it wide and then let Theo overlap, and try and get Ibra involved in the air.

Hakan as the guy behind Ibra.....i think it only works if he can spread the play. Ibra is not going to run in behind and look for through balls. So it means we really push the play wide and then look for wingers to score or find an assist.

Interesting and helps us pack the midfield.

Also means if Hakan isnt working there, Paqueta will have a chance. If its direct swap.

Really hope we can win. Its at 3.45 am my time, and Im stupid and staying up the entire night to watch it before work.
