Milan had 11 points in first 6 matches only in 2010-11, last time when Milan had more points was in 2006-07 with 12.

The coming four games are extremely important to maintain and gain better position on the table.

1- Against Verona where they have ONE point more and we will play against them on their field; SP should find a system to stop Luca threats.

They scored 6 goals and concede 5; it shows that they will try to snap a goal with a counter attack style or from a dead ball situation!

2- Against Fiorentina in our field; that would be a game that SP & the whole team prove that they are serious to grab the chance against a real opponent; we all know that we have to start with a dynamic MF to surpass their system and also to neutralize Aqua; as we are a better team, in everythings, comparing to their players and also their situations.

3- Against Cagliari in their field; they are not an easy team and surely they have players that will cause us headaches like Ibarbo, Pedro and Cossu but they don't have a strong defensive system as they already conceded 9 goals in the last 6 rounds.

An important point; they have collected only two points on their field in last 6 rounds; therefore they will fight like hell to gain at least one point from us. #HUNGER&ATTENTIVE

4- Against Palermo in our field; they are suffering so we need not waste any chance before we faced a tough teams whose there situation are better than us.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

After that phase we can easily define our playing identity and force our system against ( Sampdoria "who have three points more than us" | Inter "Rival" | Udinese "who have two points more than us" ).

Default Default 14/10/2014 TACTICS At MILANELLO

AC Milan @acmilan

Abate, Bonaventura, Saponara and Diego Lopez were back in training today at the Milanello! Next match: #VeronaMilan!

More Details about the news: -

MILANELLO – The squad took part in its second training session of the day on Tuesday afternoon after running through a session based around technical and tactical drills in the morning.

Quote:
The session began with a warm-up before the squad turned their attentions to tactics. The squad carried out the tactical drills over half a pitch and with the use of the metal mannequins.

Immediately after this phase of the training session, Giacomo Bonaventura started work on his personalised training programme.

As for the rest of the players, they carried out an exercise which put the attack versus defence. The session came to a close with a practice match 11 v 11.

Individuals: Saponara and Abate took part in the entire session with the rest of the squad.

Before the afternoon session got underway, Dutch midfielder Van Ginkel and Italian defender Albertazzi took part in some running drills out on the lower pitch behind the gym.

On Wednesday the players will train at 15.00.

Default Saturday October 18 2014 Milan's case for continuity

As Nigel de Jong and Ignazio Abate near the end of their contracts, Adriano Galliani would do well to err on the side of consistency and keep them, writes Sam Lewis.

Milan hasn’t made any offer yet.” Mino Raiola’s sadly familiar tone rang out on Ignazio Abate’s contract situation, the full-back one of the Italo-Dutch agent’s many clients.

More than a few with Rossonero persuasions must be sick of hearing the portly representative’s media statements after enduring the long summers of Marek Hamsik in 2011, Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2012 and Mario Balotelli in 2014 but alas, Mino’s voice is relevant in Casa Milan again.

Abate’s contract expires in June 2015, still a few months away but a short enough period of time where life without the converted winger is not difficult to imagine.

Along with the Azzurri international there are a number of players whose contract is up next summer, including midfield stand-out Nigel de Jong, veteran goalkeeper Christian Abbiati and Giampaolo Pazzini.

The decisions over whether to keep Pazzini or Abbiati should not greatly affect Milan’s successes in the next three or four years - Milan signed Abbiati’s replacement this summer in Diego Lopez meaning the likeliest scenario for the 37-year-old is probably retirement, while Fernando Torres is now the first choice striker for Filippo Inzaghi, so Pazzini’s role is not expected to exceed back-up in the near future - barring an injury or shift of personnel.

Abate and De Jong however, are firmly entrenched starters and players that would significantly weaken the first team should the contractual ties holding the duo to San Siro be neglected in June.

After a rough period where he was below Urby Emanuelson and Kevin Constant in the pecking order under Massimiliano Allegri and Clarence Seedorf, Abate has had a resurgent season so far for Inzaghi as an attacking threat, providing wide support with a consistency not seen since the 27-year-old’s performance during the Milanese Scudetto triumph in 2010-11.

Abate is super, there is no-one in Italy that plays like him,” Galliani recently told media. He’d be wise to make sure the full-back’s unique skill-set is kept in Lombardy.

Meanwhile, De Jong has rapidly become one the key cogs in a Milan side that has struggled to find competence in midfield since Andrea Pirlo and company aged and left.

Immediately shoring up the central defensive position that was ably manned by Mark van Bommel for two years, De Jong has become one of the most popular Rossoneri in the post-Carlo Ancelotti era.

Hailed as the ‘best signing of the summer’ by Galliani when the Dutchman arrived for approximately £5m in 2012, the midfielder has grown into a leader at the heart of Milan and would be nearly impossible to replace for the same price.

The vacuum that would follow in his departure would take away the intangible qualities the 29-year-old provides as well as his footballing talent, which has been proven to be greater than the hacking stereotype that followed him out of England.

Both Abate and De Jong have already proven to be key parts of Milan’s recent past, while a combined 12 starts in 12 possible Serie A fixtures shows they’re part of Rossoneri present.

Galliani should do his bit and make sure the duo is to be part of the Diavolo’s future, too.
