True, but Boban was injured, he should've gone off after the first half, but remained on the pitch for about an hour.

Boban was classy. He didnt score much tho.. i think his only lack.. hungry for goals. But im a fanboy of him.. so, im suspicious to talk about him. he was a amz conductor.

For me
Gullit - Van Basten 1th
Boban - Suker 2th

Suker was amazing amazing.. suker, boban, asamovic.. all brilliant.
Actually it's Dražen Ladić not Lalic

I remember that game as it was yesterday. So much emotions but France eventually won and Croatia beat Netherlands for the 3rd spot. Fucking Thuram... I hate this player, as Devil mentioned he scored only 2 goals for France both in that epic match... Šuker, Boban, Prosinečki, Bokšić, Jarni, Štimac, Bilić, Stanić, Vlaović etc what a team

I remember the game too. The commentator was an old one, and when Shuker scored he went mad crying "Shurjak, Shurjak!!!" who happens to also be a Croatian footballer, but who had retired ages ago.

It took him 5 minutes to remember that it was Shuker who scored the goal and spent the rest of the game apologizing for his blast from the past.

Good times... that was 13 years ago? Damn.

Pjanić is nice amf, dead ball specialist but he's not worldclass atm and has potential. He said he heard Lazio is interested in signing him and when he returns from holiday he'll speak with his agent regarding his future. So he hasn't actually closed Lazio door and we might see him in Seria a.
As for Misimović he is as good as it gets considering he is not as young as Pjanić. Very talented but lazy player. He was Bayern Munich player, perhaps the most talented one but was kicked out of the team due to lazyness and few extra pounds.
Džeko made worst possible choice by joining City but he just wanted to leave sinking boat aka Wolfsburg who just managed not to get relegated into 2. bundesliga and City was the only team willing to splash 45m euros. I hope he once joins top team to prove his worth, if not Milan than Bayern or some other great team.
Mods, sorry for OT.

i agree.. pjanic needs to leave french league, misimovic is that kinda of #10 that put his head down easily when things doesnt work.. he is the one to receive the ball and make the game flow.. and dzeko made a terrible, terrible thing joing epl.
i have hopes of see them together for bosnia.. make some damage.. like czech rep in 96 or croatia in 98.

Zvonimir Boban has criticised former club Milan for allowing Andrea Pirlo to join Juventus over the summer.
Quote:
The Italian international signed for the Old Lady on a free transfer after the Rossoneri opted against handing him a new deal.

“It was a resounding mistake to lose Pirlo on a Bosman,” the four-time Scudetto winner told the Corriere della Sera.

“We have seen in these first few games of the season how he is playing for Juventus and how useful he still would have been for the Rossoneri.

“Once upon a time Milan signed the best players in the world, now, though, they look at their balance sheet and club politics.”

Pirlo underlined his ability on Sunday evening when his new club defeated his old one in a 2-0 victory.

“The Milan midfield was overwhelmed by Juventus,” continued the ex-Croatian international playmaker.

“We are talking about a slow and ageing department of the team. When Milan come up against a team like Juventus played on Sunday then they’ll find it hard to hold on.”
