I don't think they'll even make Top 3.
Not even Top 4 is a certainty. They dont have a dependable goalscorer.

However I consider them as faves going into this game.
They are the type of team we struggle against, and San Paolo is San Paolo even when it's empty.

Koulibaly has been a joke since Rino was appointed.
Their defense looks better without him.

A shithole?

An empty stadium is an empty stadium.

Napoli, alarm #Bakayoko : the Frenchman has a high fever and is in solitary confinement. But it is not #Covid

We're the kind of team that Napoli will really struggle with. They can't press us since we have the best outball in football history, and Leao, Rebic, Saelemaekers can be devastating in wide open space.

Its the opposite.
We will struggle against them

With Osimhen's injury, Napoli are likely to revert back to a 433 and start with Insigne on the left, Mertens in the centre and Politano/Lozano on the right. Zielinski back into the side aswell.

Bakayoko possibly absent would be massive news for us. Would mean Napoli are coming into this game with no defensive anchor, and they'd have to field an untested midfield of Zielinski, Demme and Fabian.

I'm optimistic. I believe chances are good we can get a win in Naples for the first time since October 2010. Worth remembering, a month ago we also ended Inter's derby home record which they've had since 2010.

They have the same midfielders available as last time, when our midfield got overrun and the team was played off the park for long stretches. 17-5 in shots. Our luckiest point in post-lockdown Serie A.

That was during the congested fixture period. It's different times now. Napoli played Genoa a few days before that game and could manage to rest a few starters, we played Juve.

Depends how you see it. I see Napoli as being able to dominate teams that can't survive their press. We're the most press resistant team in the league. They also like to play short from the back and have a very high line. We have Rebic and Saelemaekers that are excellent at making sure we can force errors, and we have really fast players that can exploit the space behind their defense. They don't have Osimhen who could have really hurt us in the same way.

We had Paqueta and Conti as our right side.

Ibra-Koulibaly is the key battle of this game. He’s had a couple weeks rest which is good.

I guess we’ll start Hakan but the guy has had no rest whatsoever. We will need Brahim ready to come on later and make a difference.

Are we sure that Osimhen and Bakayoko will be out? I wouldn't be surprised to see them both start, or at least play a cameo role. The whole thing stinks of gamesmanship/last minute miraculous recovery.

We had Paqueta and Conti as our right side.

Paqueta's role in that shit first half has already been adressed, however I'm not sure what we have now is an upgrade to the post-lockdown Conti.
Remember, Conti was a starter during the whole great big game run, and lots of other great post-lockdown performances.
Roma, Lazio and Juve. Clean sheets in 2 of them.

Hopefully Calabria keeps up the good form.
