Actually most Boston fans I'm reading think it's a bad deal and they're whining about losing the soon to be 30 y.o. dwarf lol Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż

I love Danny ainge

In what world is IT better than Kyrie? That's the only thing that matters about this deal. Next years pick? Probably wouldn't have an impact in the next 3 years. Jae Crowder is a decent role player but you give that up everytime you can have a Allstar player that hasn't even hit his prime yet.

That allstar also happens to be a PG in a point guard driven league.

Isaiah is coming off a hip injury that already impacted him heavily last playoffs. Also I don't wanna see IT once he loses half a step. At his size, he's playing against the odds at ever turn. How long can he keep doing that? I'd rather have a normal sized guy that believes the earth is flat

Ask yourself this - would the Cavs make this deal if Kyrie didn't request a trade? Fuck no, no way. Kyrie is younger and better than IT.

Trading a super star for a pick, a star, a role player and a random young player - easy deal.

Cavs can easily package TT, Shump and the pick during the trade deadline and get a star (ex Cousins or Marc) that would make them much better.

Even if they don't Celtics still aint beating Lebron in ECF.

That remains to be seen if they can package IT. What if his hip issue becomes a big issue? His value drops through the floor, especially considering he's aiming for a max contract.

I actually think the Celtics can beat this Cavs team as is right now. Especially if refs start calling over the back fouls on Thompson

The Celtics condensed their overall power into fewer players instead of having a super deep roster. They still kept their most important piece - Brad Stevens. Things are looking really good here.

As much as I would love Gasol on the Cavs, the Cavs should keep the pick.

I feel like this deal was a win for both teams.

Cavs: short term wise they got a good replacement for Kyrie and Crowder will allow LeBron to rest more.

Celtics: they got a franchise player they can use to attract players and build around.

That 1st pick is a head scratcher though for the Cavs managment. Do you wait a year to get a good draftee or do you include players + the pick to get someone like Boogie.

I don't think that trade changes much for both teams. Cleveland is still better and will make the finals. And Boston's defense was shaky before, it will be non existent now.

IT is still struggling with his hip. This trade, if it goes through, keeps getting better for the Celtics. Thomas might be done already - he's already beating huge odds, with that bum hip it's going to get infinitely worse.

This trade better not fall through. Earth is flat damit, I need Kyrie here.

While checking on that trade I saw another story linked about Odom crying that his trade to Dallas ended his career

Sure - it can't be his unprofessional behavior or crack smoking habit

To be fair, he had crazy potential but he always was a bit off mentally, even before becoming a junkie.
