No love for our noodle? Looked decent in the first half after not playing so much lately (injury) and then second half put in a great performance. Goal and assist to wrap out his season.
I'm not 100% sold on him as a starter since I think a top RW is needed to elevate us - more so RB though. And, I don't see him and Saelemaekers both being backup.
Might be an idea to keep as rotation and loan out Saelemaekers. Samu has more impact instantly while Saelemaekers needs to grow.

i think people have already forgotten that samu was the first player to really step up under pioli. suso went from undisputed to surplus within few games.

How the turntables.
Saele has been great, Samu has been dreadful. He needs to be the backup, or if possible sold now/winter to bring in a quality RW. He had fine form like the team did but now he's solely being invisible all season so far. Sure maybe he picks it up but Saele has hard outperformed and we have Hauge/Diaz who can play there too.

I really like samu as a player and seems like a good guy too...obv he's not the best player in the world but works crazy hard and contributes way more than more talented players like suso.
I hope he finds a way to improve further and keep contributing...
