I'm getting sick of Allegri 4-3-1-2, his Cagliari's days best recipe, the symbol of frustation. For 3 years this formation never really worked out.
Then we switch to 4-3-3, we're simply invincible.
I think we're tired of winning so we change it again to our bad old days.

So what does everyone think of this?
Squad selection is the best available.

I would like to see in that formation:

Abbiati
Abate Zapata Mexes De Sciglio
Niang Montolivo De Jong El Shaarawy
Kaka
Balotelli

More defensive formation 4-4-1-1, but still similar to 4-2-3-1...similar to guardiola 4-1-4-1, which is somehow 4-3-3.

Whether it was Berlu or Allegri who decided to use 4312 it's just fucking stupid..
I mean ALL topclubs have realized you need wingers in todays game.

Barca, Real. BVB. Bayern, Juve, United, City, Chelsea..

You need fucking width

That (including his workrate) is Niang's main plus that didn't make me disagree with your choice for him.

De Jong must be a must starter against any opposition. He's crucial, and possibly our MVP. Just had to say this (again).

The good old christmas tree could be the solution...4-3-2-1

I think Monto-DJ-Poli is a really great midfield with Kaka and SES ahead of them and Balo up front. Seems the best to me...

Width width width! 4-3-3 worked so well from Jan onwards, it really was needless to change just because prince Kaka returned and they were desperate to fit him in.

I think that once DeS comes back our full backs will become our main weapon so I am not in favor of going back to 4231 because it would undermine their offensive contribution (abate has really improved as of late esp. his dribbling and crossing) but our weak point is that we have a weak center in defense that can be dragged out of position and our midfield is not creative enough to release our fullbacks or our frontline.

I would like to see us stick to the same formation but we badly need to inject quality in those areas a CB is needed and a creative mid until then we have to make due with what we have unfortunately the components for such a formation are unavailable but maybe Kaka, Pazzini SES can turn things around

Abate, Zapata/Silvestre, Mexes, DeS
Poli, De Jong, Montolivo
Kaka
Balotelli, Pazzini

This is my preferred formation when all players are available

Everybody should see, that milan best formation is 4-2-3-1/4-4-1-1/4-4-2 or whatever you called.

Abbiati
Abate Zapata Mexes De Sciglio
Montolivo De Jong
Niang El Shaarawy
Kaka Balotelli

Why?

De jong isnt tall enough for anchorman, montolivo is perfect partnership with de jong, they will cover our CBs. El shaarawy and niang on wing position, they will tracking back a lot and helping to our FBs. Upfront creative partnership kaka-balotelli.

Maybe 442 a la Capello's Juve:

Abate Zapata Mexes DeS
----De Jong Montolivo
Kaka/Birsa------------SES
----------------Balotelli
---------Pazzini

With kaka and SES cutting inside to make space for our full backs to support

That tridente would lack movement and work rate.

Monto and De Jong haven't looked good at all together in a 3 man midfield...especially with De Jong as the regista.

2 goals from Birsa and you're already putting El92 in the bench for him? Birsa is a good squad player, he lacks consistency. He won't always score those screamers from 25 yards.
