The reality is that if a European Super League does end up happening, we cant afford to not be a part of it.
The EPL is basically a super league nowadays anyways with the amount of money being thrown around. Outside that league its only Barca, Real, PSG, Bayern and Juve who are throwing silly money around. And even the latter have struggled to match the EPL in recent times.
With the current system in place, we will not get true equality either. Sure, there are clubs like Leipzig, Atalanta and Ajax once in a while, but they are more the exception rather than the norm. The CL knockouts last season purely consisted of clubs from the top 5 leagues. The gap between the top and the bottom is getting wider and wider each year.
Thats why I think a European Super League is inevitable. And covid might have accelrated that even more now. Purely from a business standpoint, its ridiculous not to have one.
