Good half, we played better than them, but we aren't shooting enough, aren't being daring enough in their third. I mean, I think part of that is Samu and Conti have really sucked up a lot of momentum.
Leao scored a perfectly good goal, that wasn't offside, at all.
Pobega and Tonali played so much better than last game. It seems that the strategy against us is for teams to try and really rough us up, they've done well to resist that.
Samu has been poor where it counts: in the final third. His middle-of-the-park passing, fine, not bad. Works really hard, great. But crossing, passing, shooting to attack? Abysmal.
Maldini has done well, kid is still raw though. But you can see why he's playing. I don't think it's nepotism.
Of our youth players from last year, I'd say: Gabbia, Kalulu, Pobega-Maldini (tie), Colombo, in terms of readiness to play.
Diaz is playing today the way I imagine him capable of. If this Diaz shows up week-in, week-out, then we need a backup CAM, not a starter. But I doubt he's ready to do this, yet. I hope he can, but I'm not ready to bet on him.
