He may not be that good (even though he was very good against Shkendija) as a player, he's still a very likeable guy.

I'd say keep playing him until Niang got sold and new winger arrives

I think people are overreacting. The amount paid was minimal considering how much we are spending.

And I can already see Borini being a guy that's positive for the lockerroom. He works hard and does not seem to complain much.

I see him as a useful squad player for us

if his fitness level allows him to play consistently, he could become the underdog regular in our team

So far this is looking like a great signing. Montella has his clear ideas and I like it when they turn out good (more often than not, they seem to succeed). Hopefully Kalinic too.

Kinda like the James Milner of Italian football. Not flashy, not talented, not star material. But very effective for the conditions of the league.

I think we are setting the bar too low...and it suddenly seems like this dude is a decent player....

he shouldn't be starting unless we have 3-4 injuries.

So right now its a worry that he is seeing game time.

He probably won't be starting after transfer season is over but he will be a valuable squad player. Certainly more valuable than the likes of Deulofeu or Ocampos or whatever other players we had in the last few seasons.

Is this guy really on 2.5 million net per year?
That's like half his worth.
It's like if Neymar was on 110 million net

Deulofeu is a teamkiller. Selfish and stupid.

Borini is obviously not as skilled, but if he can add SES type of intensity and a striker's positional sense - which he shows signs of - then he's better for us.

His salary is a problem though.

Deulofeu is a one dimensional player who got found out after 5-6 matches. He would have never done well consistently in serie a.

Borini is a solid tactical option and is a better bet to have in a squad when you already are signing real talents for the 'skillful' slots like Andre Silva and so on.

So Borini ahead of Deulofeu any day for me.

Lord Bendtner over Borini anyday.

I'm not hating on the guy.

Borini looks serviceable because he is surrounded with good players all round. There really isn't anything he brings to the table other than being a guy on the pitch. He isn't good at anything.

Deulefeu is miles better compared to Borini. He literally carried us to the EL last year. Imagine if we'd have got Borini instead
