Do we know for sure though that there actually is a deal in place with Seedorf?

All of it could be just media speculation for all we know

You can question that assumption of course, but I really doubt there's no deal by now.

D. Rossi took over in all those cases with no pre-selected manager for the next season. The situation in Milan is different because everyone knows by now that we have the man for next season. So it really is a 5 month job as opposed to one that could evolve to a long-term appointment.

Zac, really? The one time he acted as a caretaker, he made little change to Ferrara's season at Juve.

With zach im not talking about the result. Just pointing out the fact that more successful coaches have been made caretakers. Consider benitez and chelsea if it makes u feel differently.although latter could have been more about money.

I really dont see why rossi would refuse a 5 month job of milan. If he does well it only enhances his cv for his next job, as he would have shown he can handle a big club doing badly and under immense pressuere, and if he does mediocre it doesnt hurt his current (unemployed) standing one bit.

In fact, if he achieves the impossible, and gets us to ucl, i can see milan reconsidering their eventual stupid decision of hiring seedorf. So if he ever wanted a big job this is as close he gets.

Regardless, there really is absolutely no downside in rossis case of taking over milan.

delio rossi would be lucky to get a 5 month offer from milan, his value is gone downhill since he left lazio.

It is sad that Lazio expected more from their coach than Milan

Will any of the players listen to him if they know he's going?

Will they play better if they don't listen to him?

It`s nice to hear a confirmation, but did anyone really think we would extend him with such disasterous results? It would`ve been good if last christmas was his last..

Dont believe it, untill it happens. Galliani can always decide that he gets an extension when we reach 3rd place.

people still belive in 3rd place........Last year we managed to get there with 72 points, but usually it's 75+ Let's say that 72 will be enough that would mean that we need to take 53 points out of 63 possible

Dont see how it helps, unless the players think, yes, its finally ending, change is coming lol

Tbh, if he already knew last summer that he was leaving (Like he said), maybe that's the problem. A coach will make different choices if he knows he's only there short term than if he's a long term coach. A short term coach will be more likely to imploy bandaid-solutions rather than trying to build a project that will work in the long run.
