If we can't get that goalscoring SS/winger, then James is not a bad secondary option. As as starter he is almost a lock for double digit goal and assist figures.
I'm not such a fan of specialist old school trequartisti like him though as it puts a lot of pressure on the midfield and wingers. I also would not go above 50m for him either.

Dropping Antonio made sense since he wasn't the level of a Milan team, as bad it as was, still had Abbiati and Diego Lopez as keepers. We could've used him as second or third keeper but the number of keepers that graduate from Milan Primavera each year and don't get a contract will be substantial while those making it through would be negligible. Gigio was a first, I don't remember a keeper making it to first choice since I have supported Milan (Abbiati's development took place somewhere else, Monza if IIRC) , so it's not on Galliani.
I don't think Gigio's familia will hold it against him, more so because we can actually have a place for Antonio now, given bullshit Storari and youthful Plizzari are our other keeper. Gabriel I am assuming leaves.
