it wud break my heart to see us leave san siro. il never forget my first game as a kid there when i was 13 in 1998 at home v Parma, Maldini scored first and the Ganz scored the winner to make it 2-1. we went on to win the league that season.
i remember when i walked up the steps and got my first glimpse of the inside of the stadium and how it took my breath away, literally. people use that expression too often without meaning it, but ive travelled all over the world and been to several of the worlds most iconic buildings/settings, but i can honestly say that first time (and 2nd/3rd/4th...time!!) it took my breath away. it doesnt anymore maybe cos im older and more used to it, but it would be a sad day if we leave san siro, so much history and so many fantastic memories.
It is true, that it does take your breath away... however there's no room for sentimental people for a project that wants to grow. they're always too clingy to things they felt emotional to and that's why they're stuck in the past (see galliani and his issues with the squad, silvio berlusconi with the san siro also).
We must move on. Yes we built our empire and name at the San Siro, but it won't change when we go to the new stadium that is ours and ours alone. We deserve a new stadium on par with the greats of Europe. We need to begin earning money so we can grow.
There's no way and no reason whatsoever to stay at the San Siro any more. We do not own it, nor is it of European top standard, nor is it bringing us money, nor is it bringing fans to the stadium, nor is it bringing any footballing success anymore.
