I like 4-2-3-1, I like 4-3-3 but we don't have the squad for it, it was clearly designed for 4-3-1-2 and that's what we play for years. To bad we don't have better fullbacks, they are very important offensively in this system.

Plan A, closed midfield with Prince or Monty at the top, like Italy at Euro, Prince would make more forward runs than Monty.
Plan B, a more offensive AMC like Robi or SES with better touch for last pass. Could well turn in 4-3-3 and go on wings more.

Best 11 with everyone fit and in shape: Abi - Abate Mexes Zapata Anto - Monty De Jong Noce - Prince - Pato Robi.

De Sciglio Acerbi Urby Ambro SES Pazzini all very important squad payers.

Interesting how 4-3-1-2 would play against Juve's 3-5-2, we'd have a spare man in midfield (De Jong) and they in defense (Bonucci). Abate vs Asamoah, Anto vs Lichsteiner, Mexes vs Vucinic, Zapata vs Matri, Monty vs Marchisio, Noce vs Vidal, Prince vs Pirlo, Pato vs Chiellini, Robi vs Barzagli. Having a dynamic DM like De Jong would suit us very well for this duel.

Out for a walk.
I still think a Christmas tree (4321) would work. Abi - Abate, Mexes, Zapata, Urby (yes, I'd still like to try him at LB, and if not, then De Scig) - Noce, De Jong, Monty - Boa, Robi - Pato.

You're such an idiot it's not worth responding... This is my opinion of the best 11 in each league and no one else said shit about it.. you just do it because you're probably bored.

That should either be Vidal or Marchisio IMO.

If Montolivo were supposed to be there, he'd be there for the National team too but he's not. With all that creativity and firepower there's more need for a Vidal/Marchisio-type player than Montolivo IMO. But still even if it were Montolivo, it would be a great midfield.

Everything else looks solid. Serie A could assemble a great squad if they needed too.

It's been too long ago since I last posted a formation.

Here we go (assuming everybody is available):

--------------------Pato--------------------
---Robinho---------------------------Krkic---
-----------------Emanuelson-----------------
--------Montolivo-------------De Jong--------
----------------------------------------------
Antonini--------Mexes-----Bonera--------Abate
----------------------------------------------
--------------------Abbiati--------------------

Don't tell me this isn't at least a decent team.

Pazzini does make more sense as the central striker. Now the front three looks quite dangerous.

looks good, but pazzini wide? Stephan should be there, or even prince if he can pick his game up. Which might happen when players like pato robinho and montolivo come back.

No Boateng. El Shaarawy on the left, and Robinho on the right, is an option. It doesn't have to be this exact 11, plus rotation is good, like Ambrosini rotates with Montolivo and De Jong. Anywho, about the front line: Robinho will drop back a lot, with Pato and Pazzini going more to the left than the formation is showing (from the two I like Pato being the one more left-sided), and either one of them can go wide (whatever side that may be). I just don't want one obvious striker who's the one in the middle all the time. We should be less predictable.

Beautiful place
^ i like the above formation but we'd need to play possession football with quite a lot of players being forward but that would probably mean being exposed on counter-attacks. But we should also create a lot of chances..

Well with that formation most likely wen attacking montolivo would stay in the middle and look to dictate things while boateng is allowed to push up. The only problem i have is that boateng has gotten lazy and during the defensive phase i doubt he would be tracking back

you can't have robinho and montilivo on on one side, because robinho isnt hard working, putting much pressure on montilivo and the defence, and seeing how midcore our defence is, milan will leak goals.id say put montilivo in the middle, and then de jong or another dmf (boatang /nocerino/ambrosini) behind robinho, to protect the defence.

Oddo expected Milan struggles
By Football Italia staff

Former Milan full-back Massimo Oddo is not surprised by his former club’s disastrous start to the season.

The Rossoneri have won just one game this term, 3-1 at Bologna, but have failed to score at home in losses to Sampdoria and Atalanta, while they drew with Anderlecht.

“With so many players sold and the others who left at the end of their contracts, we couldn’t have expected Milan to win immediately,” the 2006 World Cup winner, who spent last season on loan at Lecce from Milan, stated.

“However, the defeat to Sampdoria at home on the opening day of the season was a decisive factor. Since then the players have not been able to show what they are truly worth.

“Milan’s struggles this term are not just down to the tactics of the Coach, it also has to do with the nervousness of the players.

“When you undergo a revolution like they have, by focusing on youth, it is not always easy to get on the bandwagon straight away.

“What Allegri needs to do now is to find some new ideas. An entertaining victory is needed to lift morale.”

The tactician has used a variety of systems this season – 4-3-3, 4-3-1-2, 4-3-2-1 – and there are reports today that Allegri could now try a 4-2-3-1.
