It's funny, we're still on a hating Allegri mindset, but I actually see him as a really, really good national side coach. Mourinho said it best when he said that there are club coaches and national team coaches, and seldom is there crossover.
Allegri has shown a talent for developing and implementing youth, devising great game plans when he has ample time to prepare, and firing up his players when they are already motivated. That's pretty much the hallmark of a national team manager.
