whatever, i will take a cl, super cup, and world club cup any day of the week. if that means not being taken seriously, then so be it :D
glory hunter. ;)

by deliberately neglecting domestic competitions to increase the probability of winning the big cups + the financial package attached, as practiced by milan + liverpool, domestic competitions are devalued + match-attending real fans [as opposed to us armchair wannabes] are drained of their hard-earned money, under false pretenses to boot. wouldn't it be more respectful towards the paying crowd to openly push for a euro superleague + make priorities known so potential season ticket holders would be able to make a more informed decision about whether they want to put up with the weekly dross in the league?

and if more clubs had decided to follow milan's example + hadn't given a toss about the league in favor of international media exposure + UEFA prize money, do you think milan would have been equally successful?

I agree about what u r sayin that a respectful club should compete in his own league rather than just hoping they win a cup even if it’s the CL.
But , do u really think that Milan r doin so by choice?
They cant compete in the league coz they don’t have a good team 2 do so.
All they can do with this old-uncreative-slow team is 2 bet that they can produce 3-4 good games + pray 4 luck that’s it would b enough 2 win the CL.
Don’t u remember 1 of the stupidity triad when he said: the point gap will b gone b xmas ? :o

They just make excuses 2 justify this pathetic team.
If we r eliminated in CL this year we will hear : we wanted the world club + super cup & we got em.

has to be kaka without him we would have no goals at home, be out the cl, absolutly nowhere.

nesta a close second has been immense since coming back march-time last season without him we would be leaking like a tap, kept ibra out the game in the derby but to to avail in the end. quality personified :star: .

Voted for Rino because I couldn't stand seeing his name with zero votes.

Voted for Maldini. Paolo was the best player by far in the game against Arsenal and has been such a huge figure in this year's squad is quite sad. I think it goes to show how badly we need to sort our defence out if we need Cafu (37), Nesta (31), Maldini (39) and Favalli (38) in some games!!

My top 3:

1.Pippo(Because whenever he plays, he tries to give his best && he IS a born finisher.)
2.Kaka(Because he does all the work.)
3.Pirlo(Because without him we don`t even know what to do.)

for performance over the entire season

kaka
nesta/pirlo
ambro

nobody else really played even good except at times inzaghi and pato, who didn't play a ton of minutes due to injury troubles, age, or in pato's case eligibility.

worst regular performers over the course of the season were (in reverse order)

favalli
gila
oddo
dida

gattuso gets (dis)honorable mention, he had a nightmare year other than a few good matches here and there.

Performers this season:
-Ambro: for being the only one who has performed regularly, who has been on form, how has shown some grit + passion in the field, and for overall showing who really deserves to be the next Milan captain.
-Pirlo: has been good in most of the season except for the horrible period from late february till more or less mid april. We usually miss him when he isn't on the pitch + plays 1000 games per year (I'm pretty sure that he is the player with most minutes + games since 04), so a bad period is more than understandable.
-Bonera: he took advantage of his chances, weather they were as a RB or a CD, and has been regular performer.

The rest don't deserve getting close to a nod, and I qualify them as irregular/horrible (even if in the last month they have been good...where have they been the rest of the season?).

My top list would be owned by

Ambrosini
I was really surprised and didn't really except him to do such a great games after his comeback from that ugly injury.
He was so solid at his position, proved also against Inter. I want him to play every game.

Nesta
Without him we would've look like Ascoli in Serie A. Always at the right place at the right time. Surely the best defender in the world for many previous years and of course current and upcoming.

Pirlo/Kaka
Both of them took their chances to show what they'll able to do. Pirlo wasn't that class, but somehow proved us that without him, our team can't make the game they usually play. Watch Napoli game.
Kaka is our top-scorer. Had some injury problems, but whenever he played he was always great. Our star, and our best player.

Pato
Started to play only in January. Scored 8 goals in 17 matches. Not a bad/indeed an excellent record for a 18 year old, in his first month playing in Europe.

Also need to add on the list Bonera for adapting himself in not his favourite position and displaying some decent matches for us.

no one really....

-maybe pato for lifting us out of gigantic whole we were in in january. What 18 year old scores that many goals in his first 2 months in serie A. His goal agaisnt fiorentina comes to mind as a big one

-maybe kaka, when he is able to do what he can, our whole team goes.....

-maybe kalac.... he saved our asses so much midseason also

-probably ambro though, hes been most consistant force throughout team....showing why he is vice captain
