Its peanuts when you are playing in the PL not a shit Serie A and no CL.
Silva was a waste of money regardless of his recent form. We didnt have the luxury to spend big on 'projects'. Everyone and their mother knew that Kalinic was money down the drain.
Bonucci was another luxury signing. His arrival not only meant that we wont be getting the top striker and LW that we desperately needed it also meant we were forced to change formation (and look how well that turned out). Also wtf was the point of buying Musacchio then?
And its not just the arrivals either. Wtf would you sell Kucka when he is your best option for a backup to Kessie?
Wtf would you sell Niang when you play a formation with wingers and have no actual LWs? I may not like the guy but atleast we would have some fuckin options
Overall, wtf was the strategy to beginwith? It honestly felt like they bought whoever was available without actually fuckin thinking about what formation they will play or whether they will fit in.
Montella shares some of the blame, but lets not forget that his hands were forced too by some shitty team building by F&M
Hindsight is a bitch. We had an opportunity to buy Aubameyang who was begging for it, that buy would have changed the entire season.
The worst mistake though is not fielding Locatelli regulary, as he is as good as the alternatives and would develope further.
Last season we played much better with him than with Montolivo;
11w 4d 4l - Locatelli starting serie a games
7w 5d 7l - L benched serie a games
Looking at this, Locatelli 20 years, its a joke hes not starting every game.

he gets five minutes once a month he's obviously not going to be lighting up the league.
this for me has been a real downer on gattuso's stewardship and the season as a whole. if loca would have been a starter from day 1 he would already be better than biglia not to mention his long term development.
loca played so bad everytime he had chances this season
U should wake the f up...
First of all he has playd way to few minuts to be discredited, his performance last season should have granted him a lot more playing time.
Loca started our first serie a match which we won 3-0(to Crotone...) He has started in to cup games against Inter and Lazio, score in both was 0-0 when he was subd. And in out 1-2 loss away against Napoli. Resultvise theese team performance is not to bad, especially since we playd Kalinic and not Cutrone as striker.
Other than this he has a few minuts here and there, which is pretty useless to judge a cm/dm from. The EL games is uninteresting as a measure.
To review a cm/dm performance is complicated since he is so important for team dynamics. Team perfomance says a lot, and our performance clearly is better with Loca on the field.
