Yeah, Strinic seemed solid. Not that Nigeria played well at all.. Argentina would be a real test.

South Korea-Sweden at 0-0 in the 55th minute has thus far easily been the worst game of the tournament so far.

Zapata is by far our best international player actually. Consistent performances, Leader, model professional.

Sums up just how terrible we are

Goes to Russia during summer and still loses

Haha, love it

Although, just on a sidenote: everyone who read a thing or two about history knows Germany actually destroyed Russia in World War II. The Red Army got slaughtered so much that Hitlers' troops almost reached Moscow months before they actually had planned. It was for many other reasons (Hitler making bad decisions like fighting on 3 different fronts at the same time) why they eventually lost the battle there.

This is a Wehrmacht soldier raising the German flag above the Russian capital city, right?

You don't get it. Do some research first on why Germany actually lost in Russia, while they trashed a big part of the Red Army in the first few months in just a small matter of time.
Now, back to football.

> takes 1-0 lead
> loses 8-1
> "do some research"

Now, the "Impossible to take Russia during winter" is actually a myth.

I am perfectly aware of why Germany lost. Guess what - winning a few months out of years worth of war is irrelevant when you yourself get trashed the following years

That's true, Germany lost due to Russia having far more manpower, production capabilities, lend and lease shipments by the US and crucially during the war their leadership gained experience and started to recover more and more from the great purges.

But now - as an unwise man once said - back to football.

Cristian Zapata is on the bench for Colombia's game against Japan. #WorldCup

Why? Did they watch his performances for us? That would completely explain his benching.

Doping allegations against the Russian team so I checked their distance covered compared with other teams.

Most teams are between 100-105km. A few reaches above that. Egypt-Uruguay an outlier game with 112km-111km.

Guardiola I think had nandrolone...and Juventus players had...I don't remember too much creatine or something...I think Edgar Davids had a lot of nandrolone and ZZ had too much creatine....I could be completely talking shit here
