Allegri has asked for a new midfielder for 2010/11 season and Poli is a prime candidate excluding his price. Great young Italian player and at only 20 seems like a future Azzurri player. Also has the same birthday as Berlusconi and Shevchenko and has a similar name to Pirlo Would love to have him at Milan.

well, since he's pretty young and plays for the italy U-21 i would say that it's a good buy probably. but i havent seen him play so i wouldnt know how good he actually is as a player. but he's young, so i'd tend to want him more. what is kinda stupid about it though is that, if allegri did mention his name to galliani as a reinforcement, then why the hell has galliani stalled in getting him here quickly. the longer it takes the lower the chances of him arriving because if he's named in the CL squad for Samp, then they may not make a move for him at all. at least if this does happen, there's still Lazzari. but older players like Palombo and Diarra, no. please. we already have old men here. we dont need more. i dont care if they are actually good players for their age. you can never tell what is going to happen when they actually reach in milan. but Poli is young which makes him the better deal. i'd hope they go for him before CL squads are named and the preliminaries are played. else, find another young MF.

I'm never happy

Sounds to me like Allegri is really trying to go for this guy or Lazzari, either would be a great signing. But if Poli plays in Samp's CL games then hes cup tied. Which means we would probably go for Lazzari then.

we can keep trying to sign him, but more then likely Samp. will continue to decline being as he is one of their best young promising players..

poli is the way to go for us. we should go for him over lazzari. lazzari is solid and versatile and will help us a lot here with quality depth, but poli has a lot more potential an he is already good.. poli is a really bright prospect and i am impressed we are even going after him as i am shocked we are being linked with a smart move here. so... to sum it up i'd much rather get poli as i think he has a ton of potential and could develop to be great here, but if we cant get him, then lazzari would be sufficient enough.

+1 especially on the palombo point. i like palombo and i think he's a very good midfielder, but he's 29 and its unnecessary, our midfield is already old and why would we play palombo over flamini anyways??? seriously, as it stands we should run a 3 man mid with ambrosini and flamini behind pirlo so pirlo doesn't have to defend much, and i really don't think we would need palombo to start for either ambro or flams... poli on the other hand brings something different and we could run ambro or flams behind pirlo and poli which would offer more creativity yet still be solid defensively since poli is not weak at all.

summing it up: we don't need palombo since we already have flams and ambro and even rino to do that role and i'd rather play flams than bring in palombo.... and we really could use poli.

+1 i can see that midfield working very nicely, i like that idea. i think that the idea of signing Poli was Allegri's cuz as you said, it is a smart move, which is surprising when you compare it to on-loan mancini in the january window...thank god that's over. lol.

people said allegri's gonna roll over like a dog for berlu. i think allegri is gonna force the issue of getting a good team. the move for papa was totally his idea too, i think. because he knows how awful we've been in that department on the field which is why that became his first genuine move in the market ( i think the amelia move was catalysed by storari leaving plus it's a loan deal. as far as i know, we bought papa outright. and yepes happened way before allegri reached here because the professor was leaving.) the reason he'll make sure he has a team suitable to his liking is because not everyday you're handed the job of coaching a team like milan. and allegri didnt inherit an awesome squad like guardiola did with barcelona.

allegri has to make his own milan and would need a proper squad. its the reason why he's asking for another midfielder in Poli. plus he wants to do well with milan. he wants to take this opportunity given to him to show his own quality as a coach. he's going to make sure he does everything to have a winning team which will add to his reputation. i think that sucking as a milan coach leaves a distasteful mark on your professional coaching history which allegri doesnt want. besides god knows we needed some players.

Allegri wants Poles and Milan will try again four years after
01/08/2010 00:00 Stephen Marvel

Allegri calls reinforcements median, but not rushing to the company, the name chosen to be thick, useful to the cause, and then weighted properly. In the last few hours Adriano Galliani has provided the first clue: "We need a mezz'ala" or so is defined by the Rossoneri coach: many names, so much dust, but zero facts. State of confusion apparent or real, check a hot name, which, although expensive, it is hot: Andrea Poli talent is sure to come into force at Sampdoria. The midfielder now back in vogue, back in 2006 was vicinissmo landing the Rossoneri, economic failure for about 50 thousand euros, almost failed a bit 'to a superficial assessment of the staff of Via Turati, a little' more for determination by the Sampdoria men. At the time the boy (just 17 years old), his debut Treviso. Years pass and the "pink flowers if they are" huge comeback. Poly played by esteemed Rossoneri Allegri is more of a promise, its average rating last season (in 28 games taken into account) was about 6.05, a value that is worth much more than twenty appearances consternation of many ups and downs. Mezz'ala a merry search for its Milan, runs the year 2010, two seasons in advance with the same poles is a candidate to fill this role. Year 2008, the median Samp interviewed by Corriere dello Sport said: "I like to act mezz'ala to find the decisive step or conclusion on the network, but can also play in front of the defense." Yes you read right, the Rossoneri presented solution two years earlier than reported to the need in these last hours. Find a deputy Pirlo-Ambrosini is no longer a utopia. Polyvalent, Andrea Poli represent promising and determined man everywhere for the future of the devil. Will only talk to early August, but Milan could mezz'ala his having already found, wallets and determination permitting.

we won't get poli this summer. I'm certain. Only cause i see no reason for sampdoria to sell being as they are a UCL team this year.

until he plays in a UCL match for Samp, there is still a chance. a reason for samp to sell him would be that Milan wants him and he wants to leave to go to Milan. of course that would be theoretical, but our prestige is nothing short of a substantial factor in a transfer market, a bigger factor however would be Berlu's miserly habits lol.

Probably a little of both, he says something "there are some talented youngsters in the league... etc, etc" then the media just takes it from there and creates bullshit.
