Oranje 5 out of 9 not 9 out of 5

Nope.. 9 out of 5.

San Marino - Holland (0-5) 3 goals Huntelaar
Holland - Finland (2-1) 2 goals Huntelaar
Moldova - Holland (0-1) 1 goal Huntelaar
Holland - Sweden (4-1) 2 goals Huntelaar
Holland - Turkey (1-0) 1 goal Huntelaar

That makes 9 out of 5.

It's good to see Huntelaar do well, he deserves it. I hope he doesn't have any hard feelings against Milan.

Huntelar knows how to score. Pity he knows nothing else in football.

I miss him and borriello Idk why:cry:

lol me too.. i miss arguing with the borriello groupies about how huntelaar is better. Now theres nothing to argue about. Ibra doesnt have anyone within 10 miles of him.

True, he is a typical old fashioned type of striker.
But dont forget, the main target of the game is to score goals ;)

One could always argue about who brings more to the table, Ibra or Pato.
And considering all the Ibra fanboys that are present, it would be quite entertaining to follow.

Tbh. Counting National team goals isn't really fair considering who he faced. The wonderful footballing teams of Finland, Moldova and San Marino.

Although if you take them away it's still a great record. 10 in 15.

+1

Doing well. We all expected that and he is a solid player. But just for a flashback when we all argued who is better him or Borri :) With Borri also doing great in Seria A I am still sure that Marco is a better player and Leo was right to bench Klaas.

grr... All the cuntelaar fans always forget one little data ; players like huntelaar are 100 % finishers . To shine they need a hole team doing the job for them, especially skilled AM specialists going forward and bringing the ball in their foot, or simply combining their main role with the attacking one( kaka, rui costa .. ) Hunt has no technique, all he can do is wainting and placing himself at the right spot.

You'll see finishers in 4-3-2-1 formation. Not in 4-3-1-2 where the intrusions of the midfielders ask ibra and binho to pass and to have a minimum of vision.

Would Huntelaar succeed here playing as Ibra is now? Or with Ibra? No.

Stop being ridiculous.

If he couldn't succeed when Dinho played as sole creative base and the striker just had chances to feed off, then he definitely can't succeed here now.

Ibra - Huntelaar would be a great partnership. Would benefit them both.

Ibra doesn't want to be a box player, but he's forced when we don't play Inzaghi. Having Huntelaar in the box would give Ibra freedom to get the best out of his play.

Huntelaar played as striker in a 4-3-3 when Dinho was creating, he needs to be in a 2 man attack... You need someone like eto or torres to play a good 4-3-3.

Not saying that I regret selling him though, don't know if he ever would succeed at Milan, but Ibra-Hunt would be good.

well that means that ibra would be a pure second striker considering the fact that Hunt is only performant as a CF..i dont think it'd be a good solution because in our current formation our strikers don"t really have a determined role ; ibra and Binho changes always of position which give no clear vision to a defense. Ibra especially needs to CHOOSE his position whatever the one we talk about. with binho moving everywhere Ibra is a happy man

Borri managed to do well in a 4-3-3 and would have scored more if he hadn't had a drought up until Parma.

Ibra's best position is as second striker where he can move around freely. But like I said, I don't regret us selling Huntelaar. I'm satisfied with what we got, I just wanted to point out that a Ibra-Hunt partnership would work great. They complement each other. Ibra said himself that he likes to play with Pippo because then he knows that someone will always be in the box, Huntelaar is similar to pippo in that aspect.

Borrie was very average, Dinho made him look good.

And yet he couldn't make MR. Goalpoacher/scorer supreme Huntelaar look good when the only thing Dinho did was pump the ball in the box?

Average ? No, Borri is very good. Not WC yes, but very good ?

And why must point Dinho make him looks good.
Not the otherwise, Dinho isn't very good when play with huntelaar, hell even Ibrah.
And Pato is toothless too in 4-3-3 without Borri.

Dinho suited Borrie more... it's obvious.

Then there's other aspects you have to keep in mind regarding Huntelaar. New league, new team mates, a coach that didn't believe in him (leo had a borrie boner). Look at Huntelaar now, is is the same player we saw last year?

Yes, Great finisher. know nothing else. Easily can marked if opposition decide to.

Watch his match yesterday against bayern, invisible like harry potter with magic cloak. Where I'm see that ? oh wait.

Leo didn't have a 'Borri boner' he was just clearly better and suited the team more.

You claimed that Dinho made him look good, how come Dinho couldn't make Hunter look good aswell when he had better characteristics to use those chances. Borri couldn't finish for anything, and yet he made better on the chances than 'great finisher' Huntelaar did.

And yes, Borri is very good. Great for us, Great for Genoa and Great for Roma.

Without Huntelaar's sale we wouldn't have signed robinho. the huntelaar money was used for robinho.

so we changed huntelaar to get robinho, a perfect deal. huntelaar is good, but limited, robinho is a champagne-footballer. huge difference.

maybe we should have kept borriello, in my opinion he's better than huntelaar and we sold him on loan with a low option to buy.
