Hello folks!
Watcing the team over the last couple of weeks, the exitement over a great start to the season is somehow gone, and I feel that a few new signings MUST be done, as soon as the transferwindow opens again.
Of course i´m troubled by the Chievo and the Juventus game, and the obvious lack of fight, inspiration and will shown by the players during these matches.
BUT!!!
The main problems in the team is the defense, and i´m not talking about Maldini and Nesta, my concern includes Mr. Kaladze and Mr. Simic: they do not have the offensive skills up field , as well as technical skills in the defense, to play for this team. WE NEED IMMEDIATE IMPROVEMENT ON THESE TWO SPOTS, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!
U see what I mean?????
The danish supporter Anders B ....................Forza Milan

Man i don't think Šimic and kaladze are that bad but we do need a substitute for them, i agree with that.
How about someone from germans team, i think they got some real potential defensive guys , right ?

Yeah I think that we need substitutes for Simic and Kaladze but do you have any suggestions?
I think that Kaladze does have offensive skills. He likes to go forward to attack but then he soon gets tired and the oppenents go past him easily!!
Simic on the other hand doesn't like to go forward - we always end up attacking on the left. On the right there's always Gattuso and Rui alone. Simic doesn't help them out.
Yeah, I think that they (simic and kaladze) did quite a good job in the first games but now they need a few games rest. But there aren't any players available, are there?

This is what i find confusing. We had IMO the best right wingback under 30 last year, and he didn't play because "we don't use wingbacks". So we sell him, and what happens? We start using wingbacks!?! :conf: Is it just me or is there something horribly wrong with that :S?

And yes, we need wide backs *cough**cough*CHIVU*cough**cough*

Who are you talking about? Contra? He is a good player but as a defender I think he is the shits. He should play RM where he does much better. That is easy why we sold him. He got beat on the right side to much. He plays here as an attacking back and would just end up getting beat all the time. He isn't fast enough to get back and defend. We sold him because we should have absolutly no reason to use any attacking backs. With the possibility of Sheva, Inzaghi, Rivaldo, Rui Costa, Seedorf, and Pirlo all playing at the same time we shouldn't need any more attacking players. simple as that.

Sure there is. Patrick Vieira can be compared to Franklin Rijkaard. And Clarence Seedorf to Ruud Gullit.

We should sign more Dutchies like we used to do:
Kluivert
Davids
Van Bronckhorst
Hasselbaink
...

And younth talents:
Hersi
Van der Vaart
Arjen Robben

Van de Vaart is great man, believe me, I've watching him for 2 years. Ajax is so good now with young players, Chivu, de Vaart, de Gun, Ztalan ...

i agree with u, namcave, Rafael van der vaart is an awesome player and has immense potential for the future. it'll be a real coup for Milan if they get him, that guy has such a cultured left foot!! Also, another guy from Ajax: Andy van der meyde. He's a terrific right winger.[/quote]

I think that Simic and Kaladze are very good players and they should countinue play in our team. But yes we need substitutions for them. But i don't think that we will buy some new players to the end of the season.

if this guys so great, why they still play for ajax? being good in one club doesn't mean anything. example: kluivert and davids (and i like 'em both), but never fit to the Milan system. simic and kaladze are very good players and if you need some benchwarmers you buy a blanket, period.

i am sorry i missed this opus before. my opinion that the last two games were a good answer to your proposal. as for offensive skills, kaladze have plenty, with all his runs on the left wing. don't you see any games lately? and when he goes forward there is a hole on the left side, correct. but there is a team playing not individual so somebody have to cover for him. simic on the other hand doesn't like to go forward, but when he does... (Milan Parma, offside that never happened).
finally i repeat myself, the last two games should have answered all your concerns about defence (so far).

Good luck next game, i will watch.
ps kaladze isn't going to play this sunday

kaladze is good in left side, but we do need another alternative for that spot, although paolo can also play it if we use billy or RJ(when hes healthy) in central defense, Simic is awesome in RB, he is a great defender, and i loved what i saw in him going forward against real madrid, he can go forward but at the right times, he is a very smart player... we also have good ol helveg as his backup which i think is a good player for that spot... i think our defense is alright...

No doubt.......Van Der Vaart is a phenemonel young project. I see the same explosiveness in him that I saw in another Dutchman at one time, that being Marco Van Basten.......it is obvious that Van Der Vaart needs to leave the Dutch Holland Casino Eredivisie, cause he is just dominating in that league. He also put together a great performance vs Valencia last week too. I have a feeling though, that Van Der Vaart will end up in Barcelona......I have not heard anything, it makes sense though.......big club, coached by a Dutchman (Van Gaal), and Barca are always bringing in Dutch imports (De Boer, Kliuvert, Coco, Riezeger, Bogarde (lol), ect, ect).........I just wanted to talk about him.......but Ajax does have a full coup of players that will be stars elsewhere ;)
