Cafu really really is an EX-player who doesn't have the effect on our game he used to have (same goes for Serginho should he ever return). He's an OLD MAN. Maldini has an adductor prob, he might not be ready to play.

Your 'midfield', or rather the huge empty space you leave in the middle of the park where our Milan boys so love to congregate for a leisurly walk, looks... dare I say... adventurous.

And our 4 guys hanging out in the opponents area... what are they supposed to do ? Wait for Santa to pick up the ball from our backline, wrap it in gold foil + hand-deliver it to them, not without making them sing a Christmas carol first ? I think I love your formation

U need 2 know that playin 4 strikers doesn’t really mean playin more attackin,
Its all about tactic & u can play 5-4-1 & still attack more than a 4-2-4 formation.
An attackin team start from the defense through the midfield b4 it end with the attackers.

Every top-point-side(Inter, Roma, Palermo, Fiorentina) has scored against us on counter attack. Anyway Catania is a very attacking team so maybe trying to catch the victory on caounter attacks ourselves would be cool. But it's at San Siro. And with all the respect against Catania. But I'm willing to bet that we will get a victory from this one. Not willing but I'm off to betting page right now

i predict a win, 1-0 is enough rather than another draw..it's a home game anyway..i'd like to see oli-gila partnership upfront or at least not playing single striker if we want to take full 3 points, fielding 5 midfielders doesn't mean we can control the game completely, it happened against la viola. i want 3 points!!i miss winning!

That was a very good result against Fiorentina which shows that we should be able to match Catania midweek. My only concern is that they are more fresher than we are but if we are determined enough then their extra rest will count for nothing.

Kalac; Cafu, Bonera, Maldini, Jankulovski; Gattuso, Brocchi, Pirlo, Gourcuff; Kaka; Gilardino.

Kaka playing just behind Gila.

I'm not sure about Paolo's condition but I hope he is able to play. I would drop Kaladze and Simic after their poor performance.
