Germany will win this one. Why? Because Maradona is a tactical noob.

Finally a strong side for Argentina... they have no midfield, lol.

It's the 1st match of the 3rd of July (16:00 Italy time).

I would have never done that if I would have typed it. But I copied a thread title and replaced the 2 for a 3... kinda doll.

Yeah, I'm a bit ashamed of it. :(

(it is a pleasure to be a mod, somewhere else I could change it myself, LOVE IT, I feel powerless here )

This match is obviously the one I am looking forward to. I have a good feeling about this one, I am worried about Spain and mostly Brazil though. But seriously, Argentina will be send home by Germany. Bye Maradona, and bye Messi. :)

Loew hasn't got a WC. On the other hand Germany have 3 world cups to Argentina's two. So your argument there kind of sucks.

I don't have pleasure in those bets like Cristina and Milanista have lost on here. I did bet a bit money on it already though. <3 the odds

Maradona led Argentina to a World Cup, and a World Cup final. This time he'll lead them to victory as a coach. Deutschland could suck on Ozil's Turkish dick for all I care but in the end they're going down.

Bitter cos Maradona and his team knocked your nation out? AGAIN!

You know who led his team to a World Cup both as a player and a coach? German legend Franz Beckenbauer. Something Maradona won't be able to do because they will lose here.

Maradona's men to win by atleast 2 goals.

Messi will finally be unleashed after Higuan and Tevez shows ..

Maradona will take his boys to Argentina's 3rd WC .. And then hold a press conference and tell Haters the same thing he said wen his side qualified .. :D

I'm thinking Argentina will win but I want Klose to break FatRon's record so I voted Germany.

I fancy the Germans and their new brand of football, but I WANT to win my bet. So, I'm going for Diego's men.

Last WC, Argentina had to beat Mexico before losing to Germany on penalties. Will history repeat itself? If it goes to penalties, its astalavista Argentina thats for sure ... but somehow, I don't see Diego taking off all his four forwards if they have a goal lead

As far as I am concerned, in terms of collective football, Argentina is below standard compared to Germany. Those Diego's men display individual footballing which it may given them fastbreak that effects their mentality, plus I am not convinced with their defence line so far...again like vs England, those Ozil cs spoil the party.

In any word, I am for Germany!

Anyone got an idea what Maradona's lineup will be. This game is one to judge the tactical prowless of Diego. I'd consider this....

tevez--higgy

messi

di maria--mascerano--veron

hienze--samuels--moron--otamendi
horrible GK

they need another pure CM with mascerano to help control game

If they play Veron against Germany, they'll be pwned in seconds. Veron is nothing more than a poor man's Pirlo right now (that makes him a pauper's Xavi) - with zero pace, a little less creativity and a little more time on the ball.

The 3 uptop should remain the same - but Maxi should start alongside Mascherano and Di Maria on the left I suppose. Even though I've not exactly been impressed with Di Maria so far.

Whatever happens, they're gonna get burned down their left. Lahm and Muller can take on Di Maria and Heinze with eaaaase..

Everything logical points to Germany winning, but that's exactly why Argentina'll win it.

Unless Argentina shift a gear then Germany will win.
If they gave us what we saw already then they are out as soon as they meet a good defense with decent attack.
This WC I dont mind Germany & thats a first since I always wanted em to do bad.
This Germs team represent everything we ever wanted as Milan teams.
Am not saying they are there but they are certainly brave for trying.
