The Totocalcio Game:
The game simply can be known from the known name "Totocalcio". In Italy, every Sunday, there is something called "Schedina". This Schedina includes 13 matches. The people have to submit their entries in which they predict the winner of each match. At the end of the day, the people who get 12 correct guesses, will get some cash, depending on the number of winners. The people who get 13 will surely get also cash, and it will be more than the 12 ones.
Our game will depend on this Schedina.
Before the start of each week (Maybe Monday or Teusday), I will post the Schedina for the following week, and every player will have to submit his/her entry before the start of the matches, i.e, 15:00 Italian time on Sunday.
The Schedina will be every week, even if there is no Serie A in a specific week, the Schedina for Serie B, C1 or the preliminary rounds of Coppa Italia will be present. It all depend on the Schedina which will be released in Italy.
Please note that I will always publish the Schedina which will be released in Italy, without making any changes in it.
And please also note that the Schedina will include matches from Sunday ONLY.
How to play Totocalcio:
It is simple, and easy. Every player will have to submit the his entry before 15:00 Italian time, Sunday.
As I said, there will be 13 matches, so the players will have to give their guess for each match.
The answers should be as follows:
Let's say for example:
Milan - Udinese.................1
1 means a home win.
Milan - Udinese.................2
2 means an away win.
Milan - Udinese.................X
X means a draw.
Also, there will be one advantage for the game. Every player will have 3 double guesses. This means that you have the right to give two guesses for a match (3 times).
For example,
Milan - Udinese..................1X
This means that your prediction is either a win for Milan or a draw.
Please remember that you can have only 3 double guesses every week (Schedina).
Every week, the score of each player will be calculated. And at the end of the season, the player who got the highest points will win the Game.
So, this is the way to play the game.
Totocalcio Rules for the year 2002-2003:
1- Your entry must be submitted before the kick-off of the matches 15:00. Any entries after this time will not be accepted at all.
2- Any identical entries will not be accepted.
For example, if I submit an entry, and after that Kyara submits teh same entry with the same double guesses, then she will have to change her entry (some change).
3- You only have 3 double guesses every week.
4- Any player can join the game at anytime. If a player joins the game after the start by some weeks, then he will be given the points of the lowest player minus one.
For example:
If David joins the game at week 10 for example, then he will get the points of the player who is in the bottom of the table. Let's say that Kyara is in the bottom of the table with 19 points. Then David will get the same points of Kyara minus one (19-1=18). David will start with 18 points. And so on.
5- A player, who fails to submit his entry in a specific week, will get the points of the lowest player in that week minus one.
For example, if I failed to submit an entry on week 4 (for example), and let's say that in that week Kyara got the lowest points and it was 5 points. I will get the same points minus one (5-1=4) I will get 4 points in that week.
6- The player, who gets the highest points in a specific week, will get one bonus point.
For example, if in week 6 I got the highest score among all the players, then I will get one bonus point. If I got 8, then 8+1=9.
If more than one player got the same high score, both of them will get the bonus.
7- If a player got 12 correct scores in a week, then he will get 2 bonus points. He will also get the bonus for being the highest scorer (If he is).
8- If a player got the full mark, 13 points in a week, then we will also get 4 bonus points for that. He will also get the bonus point for being the highest scorer of the week.
I made rule number 7 & 8 to give the taste of the real schedina in Italy, since they win cash
9- If one match in the league is being delayed, postponed for any reason, then this match will be cancelled from the schedina.
For example:
Chievo - Lazio last year was postponed, so this match was taken out from the Schedina. This means that only 12 matches will be there. In this case, the player who gets the full mark (12 points) will get 4 bonus points, while the player who gets 11 points will get the 2 bonus points.
10- If two players will be equalled in the points at the end of the season (to decide the winner). We will check the player who scored the highest marks, more than the other.
If they are still equal, we will check the player who got the 13 points (full mark) or 12 more than the other.
Prizes for the winners:
The prizes will be for the the winner, runner up & the third place.
The winner will get the new original AC Milan kit (Including the jersey, short & the socks).
The 2nd & 3rd place will get Milan souvenir (Something like scarf or wallet or something like that). I will think of it
