What's the point of a Dzeko in the XI if you have Ibra?
He'd be a great vice-Ibra, and maybe a great impact sub if you're trailing and need another aerially dominant player in the box.

Ibra is at his best next to versatile players that combine with him, compensate for him defensively, are comfortable on the wings and attack space which he creates.
Hakan, Boateng, 2011 Robinho. Or Cavani but even that was a stretch.
Dzeko struggled to even find balance with Aguero.

It was Mancini's heavy rotation that destroyed chemistry at City's attack. I remember first game of Dzeko against Totenham when he score 4 goals.In the next game he was on the bench. Mancini was like in a candy shop of attackers. Look at the names :Aguero,Tevez,Balotelli,Dzeko,Adebayor. Too much,but Dzeko contributed a lot in the first title for City,in the last game he scored from the bench,and Aguero scored wining goal for the title, they won the title 1 point in front of manutd.

I didn't say he flopped in City.
He's still loved by City fans.
Especially for his performances as a sub.

However he took a long time to settle.
His first year was downright embarrassing, and this was before he had to compete with Aguero.

He also took a long time to settle at Roma. And still is extremely inconsistent. A clear example of a confidence player.

So happy our MVP Hakan is fit to start . Leao on the left seems like the only weak link tbh , I hope he has worked on how to receive ball better on the wings. 2-3 times past few games ball went out just simple passing to him on the wing
