We need to continue the momentum.
Fiorentina is in great form, so we can't underestimate them.
We need focus and sacrifice.

MRI confirmed a muscular injury in the left thigh for Kjaer

Calhanoglu, Musacchio and Kjaer worked individually on the field

Saelemaekers sustained a contusive knock to his left ankle. Medical checks tomorrow

The squad is thinned but we can win.

Tough game but totally winnable. Ibra back to scoring ways and Samu too.

Definitely will be tough, this game can very well define the rest of the season for us. We're a little thin and banged up but if we come with the right aggression and stoutness in defense we can win it away from home which would be a big confidence booster going into the final stages of the season.

Musacchio might make it back, otherwise Gabbia will start. It's looking like Hakan will make it.

Probably looking at this:

--------------------Ibra
Rebic------------Hakan--------------Samu
----------Bennacer---Kessie
Theo---Romagnoli---Gabbia-------Calabria
-----------------Donna

With a very thin bench indeed; Laxalt, Conti, Jack, Paqueta and Leao might be the only senior outfield players on it.

Hakan fully recovered or not? Fiorentina's kryptonite.

paqueta is more mobile than jack but Pioli want to rotate.
In this system I think jack will have to shoot from far. Something which he can do.

Bona is a better fit in that role than Paqueta I think. He will probably score.

Bona has been disappointing so far since his injury but he's too good to continue at this level. Sooner or later he will have those 5-6 really good performances.

I think you may be right and that he'll win this game for us.

It's all about the role. As the off-the-ball fellow playing just behind the main attackers, he's second to none in our squad. Better sense of timing than Paqueta, and better finishing than Paqueta.

If you play him wide in a 4-4-2, he's gonna be crap like he was last month.

Hakan returned to training with the group and Tutto for one thinks he'll start.

I hope Gabbia starts and stars. Being forced to field him might be a blessing in disguise. It would be nice to have another homegrown hero.

Jacks attacking positioning and long shooting/finishing can be very useful playing off of Ibra. He’s also more balanced with shooting/dribbling/passing compared to Hakan who leans 80% towards shooting hence easier for defenders to read.. although Hakan does provide much better work rate and defensive cover.

Hope Jack performs if given the chance tomorrow.

Lets go on a looong unbeaten streak lads! I wanna start smelling the champions league again !

i'd like that too but mussachio should start
we are playing in florence, they scored 5 goals last week
not anything to underestimate

True. I think realistically Gabbia would only start if Musacchio is unavailable.

Bona is a better player than this season`s Paqueta period, the only question is if he has the legs for it. That applies to Paquetà too though, who is gassed after 60min. So we´ll most likely see both.

That must have been a super-mild ankle sprain. Good news.

If true it's fantastic - we need all hands on deck as the squad is super-thin.
