Ruiz might be worth 70m (in today's market) but SMS today finally had some decisive moments, he didn't score, but he had some threats. I agree with you, he really doesn't provide defensive cover, and even worse, he doesn't have the ability to take pressure off with possession. He's like a bonus attacker, but doesn't do many things required of a central midfielder.

He really is a poor man's Pogba.

I think some patience is required, it’s just hard. But Leonardo and Moncada are targeting the type of players we all wish we had been after since 2005 really. Paqueta is a perfect example, Piatek also even though the timing is tough.

New manager is the biggest need, though, we have to get that right over the summer.

Very obvious that it is only CL football that matters for Gazidis/Leo. Even if we finish 1 point behind the 4th place, Gattuso will be sacked if he does not achieve CL qualification.

Groeneveld played 3 months superb and the other three months he was injured, if he joins us and is healed completely, he'll need 3? weeks to get fit
