Yeah, me too. As more as I see him playing, more I like his football. Despite his performances + Thiago Neves' not being great recently, I think he's showing good quality.

Historical win for Fluminense. A brazilian team hasn't beaten Boca since 1963 when Santos of Pelé knocked them out.

Tough match. Everyone seemed too nervous. It was kind of irritating sometimes, with all the wrong passes and the difficult to keep possession. But it was great to watch nonetheless.

There are a lot of reasons why I dislike Boca and it only grows as the years pass by, but I still can admit that they are a team that plays great imo. Not yesterday, specially with Riquelme not having a good day, but the plays they create, the good passing, the danger in attack, it all stands out. Just like their bad attitute when losing though.

Anyway, couldn't be happier now that they're out, and the fact that it was by a brazilian team just makes it sweeter. :D

Maracanã is gonna be great tonight. Packed.
Hopefully all the energy will help Fuminense.
They played horribly in the first leg.
But credit where its due, LDU had a good game, specially Guerrón.
But with the team Fluminense have they should've done better.
Washington was disappointing, to the point where he was pissing me off.
But come on Flu! You can do this. :D

Go Liga! If they win it will be historical for Ecuador.

Go FLUMINESE !!

All FLUMINESE has to do is to win by 2 goals in a packed MARACANA and btw, that team called LIGA DEPORTIVO UNIVERSITRIA or LDU will not get the ALTITUDE by their side.

I thought FIFA is really looking at this bull shit thing like playing in high altitude and taking advantage of that to alter a match played on any regular venue of this planet.

If that be the case, why can't we have teams for MARS !!

And I hate to see Man U winning in the DECEMBER the FIFA WORLD CLUB CUP !!

If LDU wins MAN U will have a better chance where as if FLU wins then MAN U will have a harder challenge in their hands.

Great game, although the officials made some poor decisions. Damn the keeper for LDU Quito was annoying. I also didn't like how the audio and video were off sync by like 1.5 seconds.

Nice game, though I thought Fluminese was going to pull this one out, they definitely had their chances to. LDU's keeper's stall tactics during pks was very annoying; I don't know how much it had to do with Fluminese only abling to get one past him.

I'd rather of listened to a Spanish broadcast than the out of sync English broadcast they had on, and I don't speak much Spanish, that's how bad it was.

For me, it wasn't a nice game.
It was 120 min of frustration.
If you count the other game, in wich I think Fluminense played badly too, put it as 210 min.
When I say badly, it's because Flu was capable of a better presentation.
The Fluminense that got to the final, beating Boca Jrs, deserved the title.
But this one that played against LDU got what was somehow imminent.
Renato Gaúcho, their coach, has a lot of guilt in the whole thing imo. The way he built his team, exactly like the first leg, got him to pay again. He should've learned in the first time.
The first LDU goal yesterday came from the exactly same flaw, Flu's left flank. Again, Guerrón.
Their defence was a mess. And the midfiled didn't get tired of their bad passing. And Washington again pissed me off.
Props to Thiago Neves, the only player ever to score three goals in a Libertadores final. If you count the 1° leg, make that 4.
LDU have a good team. But Flu have a better one. They paid the price for bad tactics.
I know a lot of people that were at Maracanã yesterday, and they said it was an amazing atmosphere.
A pity that the night didn't end well for them.
Btw, Héctor Baldassi, the referee, had some bad games in this Libertadores and, as he proved, should not have been in the final.

How so? Missing a PK in a shootout negates scoring 4 goals over a 2 legged final?

Well, I saw the game live in a bar in Chicago and it was a great atmosphere in the bar. I never felt bored with the game, may be I had 30 vibrant supporters to follow the game.

In any case, what I have to say though, it was FLU's own fault to lose the tie.

They should have been a lot more aggressive when they were tied in the second half.

BTW, it was refreshing to find out that away goal rule doesn't count (only in the final though) of Copa Libertodores.

So I take it LDU will play manutd in the world club championships then?

can someone tell me a bit about them and how good they are?

I'm not so sure we will take this competition too seriously if I'm being honest. But i wanted Boca Jrns to win it only because it would be nice for Tevez to play them.

what time of the day did Milan play last year? Because if its too hot we're screwed.

If you guys take it seriously you should have no problems.
I don't know if it's gonna be the same LDU team (players).
They're good in aerial plays and through the right flank with Guerrón (but this one is already heading to Getafe).
The thing about this cup is that south american teams take it seriously and can always surprise the european ones.
I think that brazilian and argentinian teams put up a harder fight though.
Oh, and their GK is a jerk when it comes to penalties.

Cheers :) I can't wait until its on. not because its a massive competition but I want south american players to see manutd better as we aren't yet on the level of Barca, madrid or Milan as an attraction for latin players, though ronaldo has helped us a lot.

why is he a jerk? cause he prayed to his dead father before each penalty?
You live in Brazil so you don't get what a big deal this victory was for LDU players
