Of course. The more top players we add the better our performances will be. Just look at Higuain or how Bonucci raised the performance of our defence last season. Also, it’s no surprise that the teams that finish higher in the league usually have the most top players (and best coaches).
Realistically, our defence is fine but we need 2 top mids and 2 top wingers. Btw, I’m not talking about signing Pogba but players with real potential like SMS, Rabiot, Martial or even Di Maria for free. Only then will players like Kessie & co raise their performance.
at bonucci. pogba and sms would cost same. di maria is washed up. would have been useful earlier in his career but now he becomes invisible for too long. i don't think rabiot will raise our performance tbh he is not what we need. we need players whose play style is similar to iniesta, messi, robben who are explosive and can exploit space and defensive lapses in a blink of an eye. our main problem though is, player movements when we attack. if we can solve that we might not even need new players in attack(for guaranteeing top 4). hakan, suso, kessie all need to improve in that area. only bona is somewhat good on making those movements and losing the markers. that is also the reason we rarely attempt through balls.
