We've been linked to him for years, but rumours seem to be getting more serious now
I loved him at his Lecce period and he has grown a lot since then
I think it's fair to have some doubts about him being good enough for Milan tho
He's a great passer and plays with a lot of passion on the field
So far he only has 2 caps for gli Azzurri, but he made in the current selection
There is competition from Roma, but it seems he prefers Milan over them

sometimes
He'd be a good addition to the team: still young, quite skilled + plays with a lot of heart

Sign

Re the price: It was rumored Genoa's half will cost around 6m, although Zapata could be included. Roma own the 2nd half and would like to bring him back, possibly to replace Pjanic who could be leaving.

How is he defensively?(please don't post tackles & interceptions avg)

6 goals and 8 assists is veery good, but CMs with those numbers tend to play very advanced, leave holes behind and generally not think like a midfielder.

It seems he also works hard off ball, but the same goes for Bonaventura, who is not really a CM.

For the midfield, I'd rather get a proper B2B and/or anchor than an AM.

anyway, from the video he looks more attack minded for b2b.

defensive not the best at his position, but definitely not as offensive like Bonaventura
he mainly plays as CM (right & left), he loves to make his rushes with the ball

We already have jack, bertolacci is similar to him...we need an anchor like xabi and a runner like khedira. We need mids with different characteristics. But u know our management...they will looking for defence and attack.

not as offensive as Giacomo, but still offensive
he would do a better job than Bona on the LCM

he's kinda an all-rounder

Bona is an LM/LW or AM
Bertolacci is an CM

how is that the same?

just like Jack had some critics last year, Bertolacci would be a good signing

Bona needs a better coach and a bit more time in midfield to get used to the position. He has all the tools to be a great all-rounder.

He is flexible, but i don't think he is quite quick enough to play on the wing, or have as much vision as is required to be AM. He can definitely play there if it is needed, but shouldn't be a starter as LW or AM.

Similar isnt the same in my dictionary.

Bertolacci is more AM than CM...both are all rounder, nothing special.

Bertolacci may very well be a must sign player, considering everything. He could be to us for the next five years, what Marchisio is to Juve.

Both Bona and Bertolacci are AM/wingers "converted" to deeper roles. Bertolacci played as AM/second striker in the season Genoa almost got relegated... One of the few players who did well that season.

They both have trouble defensively, that they sort of make for it with running.

Bertolacci plays a heavier game though. He's more natural to CM than Bonaventura.

We got many players leaving and we will need depth. Bertolacci will be at least very useful

He has been playing as a CM for Genoa since last season. Every single game this year hes played was as one of the CM's in a 2 man midfield (343). He is a CM, an offensive minded one

I don't think we would be buying Bertolacci for depth.

Bertolacci-NDJ-Montolivo

I can't see that turn out well.

The way Genoa plays their CMs aren't involved at all in the build up , he is a good player but the priority should be a real CM.
