Messi’s heir. Or Andre Silva’s heir?

Last year I was so disapointed with results that I didn’t want to writte. Halilovic got me to. I don’t expect much from him. He’s an outstanding talent & did show some of it in Primera but he’s also to injury prone & don’t think he’ll ever max out his play. And there’s his work etic, he ain’t a type to help much in defense & I belive he doesn’t really give his all in training.

Given our financial situation transfers like that make sense.

We need more transfers like the Suso one. Sign a talented but struggling player for little or no money and make him into a highly useful player, who theoretically could be sold for >30m and make good, much needed, profit for the club.

Nonetheless more often than not those former "wonderkids" flop, so i wouldn't have all too much hope. If all you needed to do is to sign former wonderkids to improve the team/make big profits, everyone would do it. You need to pick the right one's and give them enough playing time to develop. Not sure if that will happen with Halilovic, probably not, but definitely worth a try.

Delighted by this signing.
Finally the vice-Borini that we were craving.

Never seen him play but a failed "next Messi" is good enough for me

Actually I'm quite looking forward to this signing. It's the opposite of what we need, but Halilovic has genuine twinkle-toes quality. It's a gamble worth doing for a free transfer.

very talented guy, i honestly think this could be the steal of the season for us. would be a great CM but i have a sneaking suspicion he could be taught to be more of a deep-ling Pirlo-esque playmaker.. we will see tho. For now I think he's best as a creative CM

I thought he was more of a right sided midfielder/winger ?

he is but he has played in the center here and there and it seems his playstyle is more suited for dribbling and passing rather than striking (i.e. creative CM v. winger)
