+1

But I'll be rooting for Egypt for one of my friends (who is still heartbroken about the loss to Algeria).

in my opinion Eygpt still have enough quality to retain the cup but i would fancy Ghana Ivory Coast and Cameroon to be strong competition, my wild card choices would be Nigeria Togo and Mali

My main impression was indeed sarcasm, but I just found it lame.

Just like I'm sick of racism, I'm also tired of racism jokes...:o

It has to be funny for a laugh.
Look I tried to make a little fun with you but you seem to want to pursue this to eternity. So I'm sorry I tried to make a joke and it obviously will haunt you for years to come. My bad. Can we drop this, stop hating on each other and get back to hating Inter pleeeease? :)

I dunno. I'm more nervous than anything. Suppose he's overrated shit? Suppose he's not but gets injured or plays poorly and loses confidence?

yeah it's hard to tell what to expect from Dominic Adiyiah
from all those players we're linked to, he might be the most unknown, even his age is
he seems to be a player who can play as wide forward like Pato, not like a real winger
if we ain't getting more attacking people, this kid has an important role to fill

Don't think of them as walk-overs. They will give both Egypt and Cameroon a run for their money.

And if they don't, it would be just because of their inconsistent nature :D
That's because rasciscist people like you don't bother to keep us informed about them. :o

:D
One more time then.

I also suggest that anyone who fails to post in that thread should be permanently banned :o

We simply cannot tolerate RACISTS.

I work with a guy from Malawi. His name's Oswell and he does an amazing Robert Mugabe impression.

'Mon the Malawi!

Cool.

I've never been to Mozambique, and never been diving. The Zambezi (which flows through Mozambique and into the Indian Ocean) is filled with crocs ... so unless you're a high-risk taker, diving is a BIG NO NO.

Last I remember, Mozambique was a pretty tough team to beat, especially at home. Very well organized defensively ... for an African team, that is. With this being only the second time the competition will be held in Southern Africa, the should have enough support.

I know this is completely true because "Oswell" is a very Malawian name.

PS. Not a Racist remark.

I originally thought his name was Oswald, which was the first name of the leader of the British Union of Fascists. That would have been much funnier, from a rasistical point of view.

Indeed it would. You'd be surprised at the names of some people, even from the most remote areas you could imagine ... Charles, Brian, Clement, etc. Its largely the same in Zambia, since all of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi were part of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland.

The Nile crocodiles in Mozambique (called that even though they arent in the Nile) arent big on salt water - so as long as you dive in the ocean, its pretty safe. Unlike diving in australia or even India, cos of all the annoying Saltwater Crocodiles around in those countries.

Awesome beaches though - none of the western commercialism around - highly recommend Tofo beach if ur ever in the area.

and with that, i end my off topic posting.

"Players injured" after shots fired on Togo team bus

The Togo national team bus has been machine-gunned by Angolan rebels on the Congolese border ahead of the African Cup of Nations, it has been reported in L'Equipe.

The Sparrow Hawks are in the country ahead of the African Nations Cup, which gets under way on Sunday.

Two Togo players and the bus driver are reported to have been injured. "I am fine but several players are in a bad way," Nantes striker Thomas Dossevi told Radio Monte Carlo.

"We are still at hospital. We were attacked like dogs and had to hide for 20 minutes under the seats to avoid the bullets."

Togo were due to get their Cup of Nations campaign underway against Ghana on January 11. Dossevi is also said that the team no longer wanted to play at the tournament.
espn

Update: Togo official said that the driver was killed and 4 others were injured. (sky sports news)

My condolences to the driver's family and I hope the injured can recover quickly.
