Milan is constantly looking to become ever stonger, and besides the arrival of Jaap Stam, Galliani has secured another Brazilian talent. He is 24yo right-winger Rafael from Flamengo, who is viewed as being the next Cafu due to his attacking nature. Milan has beaten off competition from many other European clubs while Rafael will be a free-agent in December.

Hmm...I really dunno what tp say, if he's good (He probably is since we've decided to purchase him) then it's great, but if this is another Roque, Ba, Helveg or Laursen..

ANYWAY:

MILAN LOOKING INTERNALLY

With the arrival of Jaap Stam almost assured, Milan is looking for other defenders, namely Jonathan Zebina & Matteo Ferrari. With Alex having signed for PSV Eindhoven, Milan will look internally. Zebina forms part of a strategy that Milan has used lately; obtaining players for zero cost. Cafu arrived from Roma for free and Zebina is contemplating Milan's offer of a three-year deal, worth 1.6 million euros per season.

Ferrari could be a defender for the future, someone who can learn from Nesta & Maldini. Juventus are keen on Ferrari after having secured Bonera, but Milan and Parma have to resolve the co-ownership of Donadel, and it is thought that Milan have offered Parma 5 million euros.

Have Juve secured Bonera already...?!?! :conf: [/b]

I do hope that he really become a new Cafu, but I've never seen him play before ... You gotta be very careful about purchasing Brazilian defenders though, 'cause he might as well just turn out to be the new Roque
Both are possibilities and it would be nice if someone from the forum who've seen him before can tell us more about him :)

Well..it's ok if he's a Brasilian right-back..i mean..there are many tremendously gifted Brasilian wingers..like our Cafu..Roberto Carlos..Ze Maria..Ze Roberto..Mancini..Leonardo as well... ;)

Yep, I do like brazilian wingers, always have good attacking flair (provided the central defenders are good) Which we don't have problems about.
He could even convert to midfield/offensive player like leonardo.

Yan Dao; nope, that's not true...He hasn't decided yet where he'll go..The latest rumours tell that Juve are very keen on bringing him to Delle Alpi...

Anyway, he's a free agent this summer as well, Im sure that this fact hasn't gone unnoticed in Milanello..

the next Cafu is already playing for AS Roma and his name is Mancini  , he plays sometimes as winger and also a more def. role on the right side... he scores like a striker this season!!
about Rafael, hes playing for Flamengo and thats not bad in Brazil :devil2: Ive never seen him play but to be called the next CAFU he really should be on a level like MANCINI!!! :devil2:

I really don't know of this Rafael fella and it is about time the press stops throwing names around freely and connecting them with Milan..it's just scandalous to think we would want to buy so many players!

Stam, Matuzalem, Chevanton, Gilardino, Bazzani, Kuranyi, Torres, Bonera, *insert unkonwn player here*...
