Ferrari's Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa dropped to 10 starting grid where will be placing 14th and last spot respectively due to engine changes. Red Bull's David Coulthard also dropped to 21th from early 11th due to same problem.

Poor Kimi  crashed in the first lap... still unlucky. Fisico made a solid performance, dominating the race since the start until finish. Wow.. Renault surely have a great pace...

Well at least McLaren still got 5 points from JPM. Better luck next time Kimi and JPM.

How much bad luck can one person have?? What was Klien doing. :head:
And Ferrari was a bit dissappointing i'm hoping for a better result in Australia.
And some better engines. ;)

Anyone here watched Australian GP yesterday ? What a mess!! I saw lots of crashes, incidents, bad-luck etc etc...the likes of Massa's crash at first curve, Schumi hits the wall, JPM's incident, and last but not least, the drama begun shows unlucky Button was unable to finish the race (burning engines at last lap) above Fisico...

What a damn lucky day!!

I watched the race (even if it was early morning :head: ..)and i'm very happy for the result!
Even if i'm italian,i hate Ferrari (expecially Schumi)..when I saw his car crashing on the wall i started laughing and celebrating like when Inter lose!!! :D
Poor Button...his engine burnt only 50 metres before the flag!
Anyway, great race for renault...everything was too easy for them!I didn't expect that Briatore could create such a wonderful team!
Now,let's wait for Imola!

It was funny how Batton couldnt finish the game for just 10 metres.. it was not interesting since Massa & Schumaher were out from the 1st lap..

Simply because i can't stand Schumi,Todt and Montezemolo...then because Agnelli's family owns Ferrari and Juventus....:head:

it would be a real shame for the sport if alonso turned into another dominating schumacher.

i hope when ferrari unveil new car etc at san marino, schumi can challenge

The keyword is they have to find fitted-tyres set up into new 248 chassis. If this sort of thing wouldn't be big deal at all, and 2004 Bridgestone alike model could 'transmit the tech development' to this season's tyres, it could meet expectation to better competitive into end of the season.

Btw, welcome back home. :)

well regardless of the fact that schumi aint winning, ferrari are still a respectable 3rd in constructors n 4th in drivers standings.
ferrari reckon that they got the whole performance issue sorted...fingers crossed!

Michael Schumacher made F1 history on Saturday when he broke Ayrton Senna's pole position record and he did it at the very track where the Brazilian claimed his final P1 slot - Imola.

wasn't it ironic when for the last few minutes of the final qualifying sesh, shcumi was on pole and barrichello was in 2nd...strangest sense of deja vu.
great qualifying come back for ferrari and really great performance by honda...hope they can translate it to the race. shaping up to be an excitin race tomorrow!

I didn't watched it which had been quite pessimist about this qualifying session. During Barcelona test, Renault seems unstoppable and set ready for bigger challenge at following rounds. But Schumi and Ferrari had proved me wrong, taking pole position and thus breaking the record he held jointly with the late Ayrton Senna has given satisfaction for all Ferrari fans wanted thus far.

No podium wins for 22 rounds (Schumi and Ferrari) were too long to be awaited. We've missed it. :)

ferrari are back!
it was a good race but not overly exciting since usually there are lots of battles for position between the mid-teams but this race there were only a few. shame for barrichello he should have done better. generally good reliability all round. in michael's second stint when he was slower i think he was faking it a little because his in-lap for his pit-stop made all the difference and got him out in front of alonso. alonso probably could have taken schumi but it didn't really affect his title race very much.

what is wrong wiht mclaren? they were so hyped at the beginning of the season? their heavy fuel loads have done no good for them. it seems being in the first two rows of the grid means more than how much fuel you are carrying because changing fuel strategies happens quite easily either udner safety car or just fuel a longer stint. nevertheless, montoya got anothre podium. the mclarens just aren't having very exciting races, though they are notching up points; they are being veyr forgettable at the moment. do they have any prospects of a new package anytime during this season?
i feel very sorry for raikonnen, he deserves to win a championship and he just is never given the chance.

hope to see ferrari fighting again at nurburbring.

Wow , it was carbon-copy of last season Imola ... just in different positions Schumaher and Alonso .. I felt like Schumi was slowing in purpose just to tell him that he cant pass him... just like he did with Hakkinen some seasons before..

They should've called Adrian Newey back then for 'good'.

Imola suits to Ferrari and Schumaher , if it was other circuit I am sure Alonso would have passed Schumaher .. Imola dont have curves for passing the other..

Its so nice to watch like neutral :D ..
