suleyman took the #14 when he arrived on loan, as his preferred #4 was taken by mark van bommel. the next year van bommel left and suleyman took the #4

Every time I hear his name, Timoué, this image pops up in my head.

I can't believe we're only paying 2.5m of his 6.5m salary with Chelsea paying the rest. Steal. :o

I'm not finding any reliable source confirming this

https://tribuna.com/en/news/2856434/

"According to major Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, the Blues are ready to carry the financial burden of Baka's wage to loan him out to Milan. The midfielder is under €6.5m-a-year contract at Stamford Bridge, but Milan agree to pay him only €2.5 annually. That wage cut is too big for the 23-year-old and London club chiefs are set to cover a part of his salary to complete a loan move to Milan."

He's tall.

Give him a few games before starting the criticism.

If he delivers results though, that's just his fucking job. Expectations will be met. No compliments, only harsh comments if he fails. I'm having prejudice against this guy big time for some reason I don't even know.

Trash last name still.

even when he was at Monaco i didn't see anything special on him, much grit and power, like a Jose Mauri on steroids

It is actually a monster deal for a monster of a physical specimen if it is true we are only paying 2.5m/year of his salary and it is only a loan option. If he doesn't perform no big loss.

In theory we are getting high-quality cover for Kessie, Biglia and Bonaventura (or last-minute star LCM) and will be the "first choice sub" ala-Kalinic at the World Cup.

Although if truth be told I don't know if he's going to play any of the midfield roles very well. We may be getting a Kondogbia, but I hope he turns out to be a Yaya Toure. If anyone can get the best out of him it will probably be Gattuso who knows all about making the most of your ability.

It's a very good deal, especially considering our situation. Don't understand people that complain about it. There's nothing we risk losing here.

:star:

Indeed. Stellar work by Leo. In the best case scenario the 30-35m may end up a total steal.

If Bakayoko has a stellar season for us we still have the leverage on Chelsea here. We can easily haggle down the option to buy fee of €35 million.

They are keen to recoup what they can and while they can on him. I think Leo has done fantastically with this loan. If he doesn't perform we simply send him back next year.
