I am not saying he needs to be sold.

I agree with your assessment of "more of an asset than a liability" if he is a spark off the bench. I won't lie, he's improved defensively and has done well in terms of winning the ball back lately.

However, seeing him start week in week out and kill our attacks over and over with his unnecessary dribbling and poor decision making has taken a toll. I don't think we can become a serious team to compete even in EL with someone like Bonaventura as our starter.

Furthermore, it isn't like Bonaventura is lighting it up anywhere near the level of Messi / CR7 so I don't see what the comparison is all about. Even when he isn't playing poorly as he did yesterday, the same flaws are there. It's just that against small sides his occasional spark is enough to create / make a late run for a goal whereas against any decent sides the amount of chances he wastes is unacceptable.

- Has decent technique but never could really make a play with all his dribbling.
- Horrible decision making.

Also, shoots way too much like Hakan.

I agree with you that he should be a super sub and if we want to increase our level of play; he should be replaced in the starting lineup.

He's not a dependable player. Just like Hakan. Only dependable players we have are Romagnoli, Bonucci and Donnarumma.

The rest of the players are like a mixed bag every week. You don't know what you're gonna get or which version of the player is gonna show up until they step onto the pitch. We were well on our way to consistency until Thursday. Thursday was a match day. What, because it's a loss we should exclude it from empirical evidence?

Why? On Thursday we saw 11 players show up. But I didn't see AC Milan. Did you?

Let's see who shows up against Genoa.
