This guy shouldn't ever be hated. Works harder than anyone and without knowing his stats, I'm sure they're decent when he's played in attacking areas. He's better than what people act like. Seems to always come close to scoring or even scoring every game he plays. He's a trustworthy and decent reserve who offers an option at wing back too if desperate.

This game didn't change my mind. He's not fast. He can't dribble to get past a defender. He hasn't a very good shot. He's not good at headers. He can't hold the ball. He hasn't a noticable 1st touch.

In short: He's no attacking threat at all. I mean look at that goal. He shot from open space right into the gk. Luckily for him the ball passed under the gk as he was jumping. But damn, that was closer than you thought when you go and look at the replay.

What one can't deny him is his workrate and grinta. He never complains, no matter how much hate he gets thrown at. That makes him likable. And he's not so bad at defending. That's why he looked quite good when played as FB, where he's not asked to score and attack the box that much.

But honestly guys, the sooner he's gone, the better. Or at least only a 3rd choice sub when we need to close games down and he can offer some grinta and covering. Not when we desperately seek a goal. Let alone starting him.

Unless we can get 10m for him, I'd keep him as a 3rd choice back up for CF, LW/RW, or even another role if desperate. He can be useful for 30 mins if needed every so often, but agree he shouldn't start unless we absolutely have no other players.

Wingers that cover 12km are very useful.
Not rare at all outside Serie A, but still very useful.

His salary is way too much though for a backup.

Guy isn't a professional footballer but a real hard worker. Played well at LW and RWB in the same game. Insane.

:lol:goodfella loves his endurance boys. Totally agree though. If you lack the skills then atleast make up for it by putting pressure on the opposition for the entire game to make yourself useful.
