This sentence is just killer:

Our season was so-so, but even in this kind of seasons Milan win the European SuperCup and the Club World Cup, trophies which our Italian competitors can only dream about.

When will they realize that while the European SuperCup is a merit of sorts, the CWC was just a waste of our resources and frankly the worst excuse a team can use for a botched season.

yes he said we will have a competitive squad which we wont, a competitive squad means players have to fight for there place with borriello arriving he will sit on the bench like gila did, abbiati will be a bench warmer, the defense will be exactly the same maybe zambrotta will come in, flamini has arrived but pirlo, rino and ambro will still be first choice and we still have nobody to challenge for kaka and seedorfs places and gourcuff has gone on loan to bordeaux. so its the same squad as before borriello for gila, abbiati for fiori, zambrotta for cafu, flamini in-gourcuff out, thats it what a waste of time.
Also one more striker is coming in & it is definately not Sheva. They want Eto'o if the price comes down. All you mentioned above is exactly what Galliani said with Ancelotti wanting Eto'o if that is possible. He said the squad will be as follows:

Keepers: Dida,Kalac & Abbiati.
Fiori has retired.

Defenders: Oddo,Zambrotta,Bonera,Nesta,Kaladze,Maldini,Digao,Jankulovski & Favalli.
Simic is almost certain to move to Turkey.

Midfielders: Brocchi,Gattuso,Ambrosini,Pirlo,Emerson & Flamini.
Gourcuff as you said has already gone on loan to France.

Strikers: Seedorf,Kaka',Pato,Boriello,Inzaghi & One more-they hope it is Eto'o.

I think that most people will be upset with the above squad,in my view another young centre half should come in & also a young left back to replace Favalli. In midfielder the grafters of Brocchi & Emerson should be replaced by either one or two ball players.

Can't believe people actually believe Galliani when he says Seedorf is a striker. :(

At this point Milan need much more than a striker in Eto'o or Drogba to challenge for the scudetto. They need a goalkeeper, fullbacks and a centreback and a box to box central midfielder as well. A blind man could see that.

It is what Galliani believes so you count him as one of the six.

Galliani: "My hard work on the transfer market this summer has three fixed points. First, we are not giving away our most important players. Second, we need to reinforce the team. Third, we don't want to spend too much. In goal, Fiori will quit and Abbiati will come back, and is very welcome by the entire dressing room, to play with Milan. Palermo offered him more, but he wanted no one but Milan. Lloris? No one knew him before we became interested in him, but in the end we decided we didn't want to have four goalkeepers in the squad. In defence we lose Cafu and Serginho, two heavy losses, and we are looking for a defender like Zambrotta who can play on both flanks. We are awaiting news, but I think that we are getting close to an agreement for him. In midfield, although there's no official announcement yet because no contracts have been signed, Gourcuff will leave for Bordeaux on loan and Flamini will join us. This won't mean we have too many players because Seedorf, who knows this, will sometimes have to play in midfield. We will also buy out the other half of Sammarco's contract from Sampdoria. The other midfielders like Brocchi and Emerson? At the moment they are still with us, we are expecting them for the reunion on 16 July, but if someone leaves we will get a replacement. In attack we are losing Ronaldo and Gilardino. For us Borriello is like Gilardino, we have thought about this a lot. Remember that Borriello scored more than Amauri this season and he's an international: if we should also get Zambrotta, we'd have five Italian internationals, which is good. Meanwhile Pato will certainly be a first team player, and Ancelotti agrees: Pato is a player we are counting on very strongly, he's part of our starting XI. Then we have to replace a star like Ronaldo and we are following 6-7 players whose names have been well publicised. Ronaldinho? Yes, he's one of those, we'll see. In the end we'll have 23-24 players, among which 3 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 6 midfielders and 6 strikers."

The objectives for next season: "With the arrival of a new striker I'm convinced we will be competitive for the title until the end. We will have our minds on the league. In the last few seasons we always won the competition we focused on the most. In past seasons we spared some of our players for the Champions League, where we were always at our best. Next season the league will be our Champions League. For us the European games were different from the others, we noticed it in the training camps, in the buses. Now we will treat the league that way. Last season we earned 42 points on our return from Japan, because before the Club World Cup we had our minds set on becoming World Champions. We believe the gap between Milan and Inter is not represented by the points difference of the last two seasons, but by the effort we have put in the different competitions. Next year we will give our all in the league."

Finally on Ancelotti: "We will continue with him for a long time because he and the club are on the same wavelength. Our relationship has been ideal since the first day. Chelsea? No, they didn't meet with him because they asked our permission and there everything halted. Him and another Italian coach were on top of Chelsea's wish list and the fact our coach is sought after and well seen gives me great pleasure. But Carlo Ancelotti is and will stay Milan's coach."

If what he says is true, this summer might be pretty good.

Adebayor Costs Too Much - Berlusconi

Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi admits that Emanuel Adebayor may not move to the San Siro after all because he “costs too much”.

The Rossoneri have been after the Togolese striker for quite sometime and both Adriano Galliani and Carlo Ancelotti revealed that they would like to see the player at San Siro next season as they continue to strengthen their squad.

The player’s agent also stated that his client would not turn down a move to Milan.

However, Berlusconi admits that the striker is a bit too pricey.

“Adebayor? I am not really sure about him, he costs too much,” said the chief.

It seems as if Milan will have to look at other players in order to add strength to their attacking department.

Alberto Gilardino left a vacant role in Milan and so far, the club is finding it hard to fill.

Milan missed out on the Champions League this term and, perhaps, this may be the reason as to why the top striker’s around Europe are not really interested in moving there.

Bayern Munich have admitted defeat in their quest to sign Marseille star Franck Ribery. The 23-year-old creative midfielder has been linked with a move to the German giants but with a takeover of Marseille imminent it seems he will stay.

Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness stated that they would end their interest.

"Marseille are going to be bought-out by Jack Kachkar," he said.

"We do not believe at all that one of his first steps as owner will be to sell a fan-favourite for the supporters at the Stade Velodrome."

Canadian pharmaceutical magnate Kachkar has been linked with Marseille all season and, with the buyout at the stage of due diligence, it is expected to be completed in the coming month with Sven-Goran Eriksson tipped to take the managerial reins.

"Today, our chances of recruiting Ribery are close to nothing," Hoeness concluded.
Just an example of "Just because they say something and Goal.crap reports it doesn't make it true"

Who's to say we won't sign Eto'o, Drogba, Ronaldinho, Villa, Berbatov, Adebayor, or Boruc? Take what's reported with a grain of salt people.

^ Word. Enough of the instant barrage of kvetching after Milan don't sign Player X based on price or whatever.

We don't know what the hell's actually going on behind the transfer scenes.

Journalists are just lying, once again ...

Milan, Berlusconi: "Adebayor costa molto"
"Non lo so, costa molto''

http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/?action=read&id=108733

He did not say Adebayor costs too much, he said he costs alot.
It's "molto" ... not "troppo".

Basically, he was asked if Adebayor was coming to Milan.
His answer : " I don't know, he costs alot "

goalcrap.com "translied" it into : " I'm not sure about him, he costs too much ". Aka, I am not sure this guy is good enough and he is too costly..

yup, pretty good "translie" from goalcrap.com

like i said on the adebayor transfer thread

Jivara said:
peh, to be honest after this incident i became really angry at our management, we look like a bunch of pussies, they look like the biggest pussies you can find, this guy is overpriced, so is this guy, we will go after sagnol since hes a free agent, what happened to all the money weve been saving? i thought the policy was to spend big and create a team that will lead an era and after that cool down on the spending and bring in the suitable additions for the small areas that needed to be fixed (with smart transfers like JDT, Vogel, Pancaro...etc) and win alot in that period and save up the money you won to spend when the team needs to be refreshed. now the time has come to do that, it is undeniable, but it seems the management has become to caught up in their acheivements that they think the sport is over, there is nothing more to be done. since when does a club of milans stature cant afford a player of adebayors stature? in reality he is overpriced, but that is not the point, the point is that we are weak, in football today you need to be strong on the field and out of it, we only acheived on the feild reputation, but out of it we are as strong as sevilla and arsenal... back in the day when we wanted a player like van basten, baggio, savecevic we would get them, we had the ready made package sealed and delivered to us because we were milan, we didnt have time to develop someone, we had to keep on moving forward and in order to do that we couldnt take risks with small named players... now look at us, cant afford to buy shit, market prices are hyperinflated i agree, but the team needs to survive, our reputation is on the line sometimes we got to cough up the dough.
