After I saw two two friendly matches and the match against Slovan I changed my mind about my line-up ... Although I know that Carletto could never play with three defenders, this is the way I would like the line-up to be:

Crazy but nice if you imagined how the team will look with this line-up!! And after all I know that's never gonna happen

This is what I would like to see, I never will, but this is what I would play. For the 1st half, hoping for a 2 goal lead.

Now that Sheva is out I would move Rivaldo to forward and put Tommasson as attacking midfielder.

If I could make more subs I would take out Inzaghi and put in Tommasson.

Seriously guys.. i prefer PIRLO before Rui Costa...

PIRLO has all my trust... i really think he will become really great...
he has developed alot while playing for Milan... I would love to see him in the starting 11 at all time...

never put 3 man in the back coz it will never happend. it will happen when zac will take over. he won scudetto with 3 man in the back.

You see, when you look at the formation you can only see three defenders but Max and Rino are a little bit defensive midfeilders, so when they go back and help the defense it look as if we have 5 defenders instead of three ... I know it will put extra work on Rino and Max, but I trust those two and I think they'll do their job properly ... At the same time the attack will be crucial!!
Anyway, we shouldn't bother arguing about this 'cause Carletto will never ever play 3 defenders

this one the full backs are essential to attack...tahts why contra is in there...gattuso and ambro will have the donkey work and seedorf and pirlo woould have the roaming ability and they work great together...they'd take it in turns to shield the defense or supply passes and have a free role....pippo woul;d be target man and chenky would tuck in behind him...sometimes it oculd become a 4231 formation...which i rather like too

I think 3-4-1-2 is the best formation for Milan.In 4-4-2 Ancelotti can use two midfielders beween Rivaldo & Costa & Pirlo & Ambrosini.But in system 3-4-1-2 three of them can play fixed and help milan to attack more.

Since we got Nesta Berlusconi has said tthat it is now possible for Milan to play with 3 men on the back line. This is what we need a 3-2-3-2.

none of the 3 defender are really attackers all that much as well so those 3 stayed anchored at the back which allow Milan to attack with 5 men constantly with gattuso and ambrosini (very good possession midfielders) feeding the ball into the attack and when necessary attack with 7 players and still have an excellent back line. Of coure omasson would always be 1st choice sub as forward or they could play Rivaldo upfront and put rui costa in as the AM. I think this would be a great team to field and watch and could produce a lot of goals.

Seamus, the formation you made is extremely become stronger either both in defence or offence. The best way of defence is attacking is important for modern football. Obviously combined the tight defence. If we can manage the things first, time will be waiting goals.
