Yes, i think if Lyon comes to Italy, maybe they can not have the quality to play CL ( i mean maybe they are only the 5th in Serie A ).

Can you tell me the points is according to what ?? I mean for example, we had been get 109 points, these 109 points include what ??? And we are only 10 points after Juventus in the Serie A, but why they get 131 ????

Another thing i can not believe is about Arsenal, i think they are very sucks in England, but their points is the 6th and for the English club only Chealsea better than them.

Lyon are first! But it's only fair to say that their league is much inferior to the Italian league....What's your opinions?
They deserve it. They have won their league title for 3 years consecutively and soon its going to be a 4th. They boast the best figures in the CL this season and have gone on for the 3rd year running to make the quater finals.

How would you blokes know that Lyon wouldn't do well in Serie A? If the italian league is inferior to other leagues then that means we should be winning the CL all the time.

For now i think it is alrite that Milan r in the 5th place. sooner or later, if they won the Champions league , no doubt they can move to the first spot. We all know what Milan can do n that they are the best and most balanced team in Europe . Anyway it is better not to underestimate our CL opponents - Lyon .

No.1# AC Milan - Simply The Best

yea damn rite milanista 10

1. Milan - 1000
2. XYZ - 132 :D

We can't simply compare notes on which league is better than the other!

But in the eyes of the world we know that one team still and will forever remain the best - AC Milan :proud:

Numbers can only tell you the clubs ranking on paper
but in our hearts we know that AC Milan are always and will always be
No. 1#

:star: Forza Milan :star:

At number 19: Zenit St. Petersburg?!?

Make you wonder just how reliable the list is :) I could probably come up with 50-60 clubs who I would think could win a match agaisnt Zenit... whoever they are.

One of the main factors that forms the list is "the teams' current form" I think.

Lyon 5th in SerieA  Hey! Wake up mate, you really think Sampdoria,
Roma or Udinese are better than Lyon :conf:
Ok, serieA 's better than Ligue1, but don't under-estimate this Ligue.
You have three big team all the times in CL, but after if you take the 10th
of serieA and the10th of ligue1, the best 's in Ligue1 really ;)
The problem in Ligue1, 8 team can win the championShip, it's an hard ligue!
In serieA it's all the times the same:JUVE or MILAN, MILAN or JUVE ;)

well.. i agree that Lyon is a great club lately and they deseved an appreciation... but i don't agree with the statement above... 8 team can win the championship ?? but in the last 4 (or 5??) season, Lyon seemed to dominate the Lique1 without any major challenges..

so, sorry mate.. i don't agree w you

I think Lyon and Roma can be on the same level(and that's no disrespect, since Roma is a great team), not so sure about Udinese & Samp(on and off games probably). That being said Lyon could be the champion in Italy, but can also struggle, their style of game would have to change, and they would have much more competition, than the usual.

Lyon totally deserves it's place first place.

Okay Momoshiro, the last 4 years Lyon dominate Ligue1 :D , but really if
you take the 2nd to the 12nd, they're all at the same level.
look this year, Strasbourg 18nd win at AS Roma , Olympique de Marseille 6nd
beat 5-1 Deport La Corogne, Lille 2nd do against Man United 1-0(aggregate),
Paris SG 7nd win(away) against Chelsea last year, AS Monaco 12nd on Ligue1
and I think it's not a little team :) win easly on round-games of CL, last year against the Liverpool.
The only problem in France it's high fiscality
Btw, we're the 4nd League in europe, but if we can have one day a smaller
fiscality... :D :D :D

You're right, this ranking is flattering but it doesn't mean much since we can't compare directly the different championships. And we can definitely say that Calcio is superior to Ligue 1 generally speaking, at least for the top 5 or so.

In my opinion Eurosport's ranking should only be regarded as an indication on how the teams are behaving globally, not at matching them directly.

(I'm a Lyon supporter by the way :) )

yup.. for actually i am agree that french clubs could compete in Europe, not only Lyon... and actually i like several french team, cos i think they have some young potential player (except OM.. cos i still hate them for what they did to Milan in 90 and 93  )

btw, what's this fiscality means?

But IF one day we can have the same tax system in all europe :D
you want see french league at the same level of italian or spanish league :D :D and more
Look we have the best formation camp in europe, all the french players
are in the best european team and we have good infrastructure.
I'm sure at the same level we can be easly the first league in Europe ;)
But HIGH FRENCH TAX SYSTEM

Always! ;)
Milan always perform against teams who attack them and don't just sit back...
Smaller teams who play defensevly always proved harder to beat...(cagliari,ascoli,empoli,juve,etc...)
But Lyon and hopefully Barca will attack and leave spaces....

No! ALL the french clubs only my friend :D you can't imagine!
Milan AC or any other european clubs can showing a BIG deficit!
Like 2OO Millions Euros  MILAN AC,INTER MILAN, REAL MADRID, CHELSEA...............they can buy the biggest players!!!!No problem.
In France if you have a BIG deficit it's tribunal paid more and go to the Division2!!!!
Olympique Lyonnais are one of the rare European club to not showing
deficit :D
Budget for one year:130 Millions Euros and win per year approximately
20 Millions Euros

LOL! I'm not sure I want to believe a list that says Newcastle United are the 11th best club in Europe - ahead of Bayern, Werder, Porto, Juve, Sevilla, PSV and Villarreal.

Well I know they work on this coefficient method that makes a team amazing for a decade if they win the CL. But what have Newcastle done that keeps them up there? They made the group stages at the same time Juve last played in a CL final and Porto have won it since then. And they had that run in the UEFA Cup to the semis a few seasons ago, which CSKA Moscow and Sporting both made the final, but both are still way below Newcastle in the list. Not to mention Sevilla who have won it twice since then! It just doesn't make sense - must be a typo. :D
