And here you go , 0-1 :D
An in form Messi is the only one who could rescue Argentina.
And I dont think the GK is to blame.

its not romero's fault, that was a good save but that perez dude was left alone, which is not shocking because argentina's defence is serie B level.

For a South American like me it's very obvious. Uruguayan football has so much feelling around and the players are so passionate, it's incredible.

But a lot of the football fans around the World can't see a game that way. TBH much of them don't perceive the football beyond dives and tricks. There's the divers and the skilled ones. Then you complain about the cheaters and jizzz about the dribblings. Morals and aesthetical fun. That's football.

100% agreed. For me the passion is amazing.

It's probably why I always had a soft spot for italy's NT (well really it's maldini and co.). Not anymore so much, but in past. It's why teams like England are pretty hard to get behind because there players look like it's 'a chore' to represent their country

It's why you love players like gattuso

meh. Argentina have 6 or 7 world class forwards. Messi being 'the best' but any of them (tevez, Pastore on the bench?!) could easily turn a game

This game has already started off as most entertaining of the tourney. I don't see it stopping either... argentina full go, uruguay don't back down.

Nope , none of them or even if you play of them can dictate a game like Messi.
They are playing Uru not a soft team.

god forlan, horrible pass.

Gago's playing well again. He would REALLY suit serie A btw

great play by messi. Taking advantage of victorino still being off?

Same goes for their clubs btw. Like Peñarol this year beating much better teams, a lot thanks to the players effort and grit.

LOL, so true. Sorry luis.

but yeah, Tabarez deserves blame for that goal. Uruguay were playing 10 men with a defender off the pitch

(unless victorino was way out of position?)

forlan has been off since the world cup, his season with atletico was poor.

Something that differ Messi over CR7 is that he can easily play anywhere with what ever tempo he chose , slow or fast.
On the other hand CR7 is like a ferrari 24/7.

it's why they shouldn't really be compared. Ronaldo is a essentially a pure forward, messi is a bit more of a playmaker

Messi can play as a wing or a forward also.
In a way Messi can do what CR7 do but its not the other way around.

Caceres looks a lot more confident than he ever did at jube

yes and no. Ronaldo owns him in free kicks but thats main thing i can see where Ron has a clear advantage.

Messi is a more clinical finisher

I agree with the Gago fans, he's been great again today.

Uruguay haven't had a shot at goal since their own goal, been like 17 mins nows and they are just sitting back.

Suarez is a good forward but can't blame him, no service to him and on the other hand Messi is getting the ball every 30 seconds or so.

Argies will win this one.

He is doing very good all Copa America btw. Making for Fucile absence.

Uruguayan defenders seem to do better in International level though.

if uruguay can make it to halftime 1-1, it's still very open. Tabarez's ability to adjust is much better than batista

Diego perez is on his last warning now. One more foul and he's off.
