Fuck UEFA
Dollar, Bonucci and maybe Silva will provide solid returns. Musac, RR, Bilgia, Hakan are worth very little in contrast. Kalishit is on loan.

We need Kane, Modric & Guedes. Suso is our best player but would provide a nice return. Someone like Simone Verdi could play his role(says it all really)

Guys like Ilicic, Janko & Barak should also be looked at. What players perform in Serie A should be a target for us.

Kane is the best young pure striker of a ball in the game. Modric is the CM class we've missed for way too long and Guedes is a potentially great young player(v.versatile)

Performing players shouldn't leave imo because we'll have to replace them as well. We are in desperate need of a scorer. Inter are shit, but they have Icardi and that's the difference maker.

I agree with Kane and Modric but I haven't seen anything of Guedes. I think we really missed out on Gomez and even Immobile, could've gotten those two instead of Kali+Silva.

Why would we sell Bonucci? He's one of the very few "great" players we have. Well actually the only other one I can think of is Suso

I'd say RR, Kessie, Conti, Bonucci & Biglia (purely because we can't sell him on for a decent price & we might as well give him a chance under a proper coach like Conte) should all stay

I'm not too bothered about Musacchio, he's decent but idm if he got sold. A. Silva has talent but also a good transfer value, Kalinic should be used to raise funds for a proper CF, Hakan was a disappointment so far, Gigio can be sold too idc about him

Bonucci can still be sold fairly highly and it's obvious he's not fit for a non-top team. He needs excellent defenders to function and we don't have that.

For me RR needs to seriously work on his right foot. He's too static with just one foot. Kolorov would have been a much better choice in hindsight.

As reported by La Repubblica, news arrives from London, according to which, for the purchase of Milan from the Elliott fund, there will be several funds in progress, among which, in addition to the Arabs, also the one led by Jorge Mendes who already tried to buy last summer Milan without success.

It's obvious we'll need to bring in the Ronaldo's, Messi's, and Neymar's if we're going to ever compete again.

GK:

Donnarumma will leave, so we will need a keeper. Reina would be great.

Defence:

We have too many defenders, but this area is the least problematic IMO. We can stay with the current CB options, and even though the fullback options aren’t great they are serviceable. If we do have additional budget though, I would get a LB to give RR competition seeing as Antonelli is so injury prone. If Bonucci decides to leave though, then we need a starting caliber centre back.

Sell: Gomez and or Paletta

Midfield:

Even though our anchor options are all flawed, I think this is the least problematic area of the midfield. Unless we can sign someone world class at anchor I would leave this position alone. I’d give it until the end of the season to decide whether to sell Biglia or Monto or loan Locatelli.

What we really are lacking are good well rounded two way midfielders, that will help control the game, defend properly and give the team a proper base to play from. Ideally one of the two midfielders should be a goalscoring/assist threat in the final third and can play between the lines as well.

To give an idea of the type/style of players I am referring to, it would be a Modric for the first role and a Thiago Alcantara/Seedorf/Iniesta type for the more attacking role.

Sell: Hakan , Biglia or Monto, Mauri
Loan: Loca (if we keep Biglia and Monto)
Buy: 2 midfielders

Attack:

The worst area of the team. No pace, no ruthless finishing ability, no real creativity other than Suso when he decides not to shoot from everywhere and poor movement off the ball. I would sell whichever of Silva/Kalinic that can raise enough money to go for a proper striker option and let Cutrone and whichever stiker we don’t sell be the backup options. What we also really need are ss/winger type players, of which we have none. We need at least 2 of these players, and also if there is budget left over I would also go for another hardworking pure winger. So 2 Cristiano types, and if there is leftover funds then a Douglas Costa type

Sell: Silva/Kalinic
Buy: 1 CF, 2 SS/wingers

We probably need a couple windows to get these players and probably about 400m so we need to be patient and hope for the best.

First remove Dollar and Bonucci since they are a distraction. Sell them both.

Next invest some of the money on promising LW and CM. Doesn't have to be a big name.

Go back to 4-3-3 with real wingers and one CF. I'm willing to keep Cutrone/Silva due to age and potential and give them a chance with fresh atmosphere around the club.

Remove fodder coach Gattuso. Only an idiot makes the decision to make him our coach.

I hope a new SD and management with more transparency comes along.

Chinaboyz + Fassone + Mirabelli have been an utter disaster.

I believe we have some good talent but the atmosphere in the club is so toxic that it doesn't matter who we get. That stench from the last 10 years of B + G still haunts us.

One of the main problems is that our "veterans" those that are supposed to be transmitting to the new and young players coming into the club what it means to play for milan or be a champion. All of them are average players at best and none will be remember as great or even decent milan players in the future. Abate, monto, Zapata, Bona. The team needs leaders that know what is like to be a champion, Bonucci is a start but we can't soley rely on him, Biglia is not a champion nor Kalinic.

The only thing Milan needs to do is hire a proper coach. Signing any player at the moment would just be throwing more money away.

Unless we sign Messi, there's nobody out there that can carry this team solo. We need to get a proper coach, and let him chose who we sign and who we let go.

Its one thing for forum members to play FM, but our management playing FM is simply stupid.

Despite the losses, the football played under Gattuso in such a short period is far better than anything Montella served up.

slow, mundane shit, completely toothless, unwatchable

Watching Milan under him was a difficult thing to do. At least Gattuso gives a shit

He is the reason we are in this mess, are fitness levels are laughable

Fitness levels have improved(Bonaventura clearest example) and players are willing to work harder off ball.

This is why we needed him in this otherwise wasted meaningless hopeless season.
His successor will inherit a squad in a better state than the one he inherited.
And in a few seasons he will be recognized as the catalyst for a new great Milan era.

All Hail L'allenatore Gattuso!

So

-It´s not the coach (as long as we can´t get a high tier one which is really unlikely)
-It´s not the formation

can we agree that searching for single issues won´t solve the situation?

Merry Xmas

It's Christmas - so logically we need to switch to Xmas tree formation.

nothing will change until we relegate, lose all hopes and then get bought by the next corrupt italian politician. imo we should redirect all our scouting resources into finding that politician.

it took 4 years of unprecedented spending for man city to even enter top4.
they spent 180m/year 10 years ago which is like over 300m/year nowadays.
so i recommend patience

If we do go back to Montella it just shows how clueless And unprepared F&M are, and would further validate Inters decision of kicking them out

Montella is still on Milan's payroll, would make sense to bring him back. Just need to see this season through without any further damage before we can hope for a better manager. No one in their right mind frame - unless extremely desperate - would take over this shit show.

We could still be in the mix for the last EL spot and potentially get lucky in the EL itself but Montella coming back wouldn't be the worst thing as the team hasn't improved at all under Gattuso.
