There are reports that Milan are considering an exchange of unhappy internationals with Parma.
Rivaldo has already walked away from the San Siro once this season after failing to break into the first team.
The Brazilian agreed to tear up his contract last Friday, only to change his mind and stay on until January.
However, his brief Champions’ League appearance midweek did little to convince Carlo Ancelotti that the situation had changed in any way.
It is now believed that Parma would be willing to take Rivaldo as part of an exchange deal that would bring Hidetoshi Nakata to the Rossoneri.
This is certainly not the first time that the club has been linked to the Japanese media magnet.
The wages of the two creative midfielders are stumbling blocks to their moves and Nakata rejected a summer switch to Lazio.
It is claimed in the press that the reason behind that hesitation was a belief that Milan would make their move within a year.
In the current financial climate, it’s believed that the ex-Roma star will only arrive on loan until the end of the season before working out a part-ownership deal.
