Maybe its my dislike of having Bartha and their pure football being shoved down my throat talking ... I mean Villa ahead of Drogba? Thats like Del Piero or Toni being the best striker in 2006. Also, I thought Pirlo's goals against Madrid and Parma were better than Messi's ... and he should have won Ballon d'or in 2006, not Dinho
Fucking injustice.at least iniesta didn't win it..lol
Germany 2006. Pirlo was arguably the best player, while Dinho flopped. I've never rated him all that much ... too much media hype surrounding him for me to take him seriously. His performances and more importantly attitude while at Milan confirmed everything I believed he was ... OVERRATED by awards such as thisWhy Pirlo?
Milan were runners up if I recall corectlly in serie A...And it as Dinhos best season (apart from WC). WC last 1 month, season is season long...best player in UCL?...
Apparently Puyol recieved loads of votes.

Even if pirlo became assist king in whole competition u will never acknowledge that anyway.Sorry, for me it was Gattuso. But I guess many will disagree.

Hmm... Not saying I'm disagree, just saying...I have no problem in admitting Pirlo he was second best. But ppl who don't acknowledge Gattuso's importance are just Pirlo fanboys.
Gattuso has proven his importance to Pirlo. However it's going to be ignored because he isn't as fancy I guess.

Btw, how does the Barca fans feel about Messi winning it and not Xavi or Iniesta?

Awarded by? FIFA. That's right, the ones who get it right every single time.

Any Niff Nuff could've spotted out Pirlo as Italy's most influential player at the 2006 WC. Cannavaro being the best overall.
