The whole prestige of the CL is that you were on top in your home league and also conquered the rest of the best teams in their own leagues. By necessity this is meritocratic. It's what made us a big club in the first place.
To shit on that legacy is a travesty. It's like we're now Paris Hilton who is famous because of her predecessors and isn't doing shit to build the legacy.

So according to der spiegel, the super league gave psg 14 days and bayern dortmund 30 days to confirm their participation. I think they will join 100%, they are just waiting for storm to pass

What I like about these dramatic times is that we're the ones with the least to lose and most to win.
Those 6 EPL clubs are damaging a ridiculously valuable brand/league which they are a part of.
Inter could be disqualified before they secure the Scudetto.
Same goes for Atletico.
RM, City and Chelsea will or would be playing CL semifinals soon.
Barca's revenue is ridiculously huge as it is - they have a lot to lose by devaluing La Liga and CL.
Agnelli and Juve are portrayed as the main villains, by UEFA and media, and could face the harshest punishments.

Interestingly, in the United States they created a playoff system for college football after 150 years of tradition. It has resulted in mostly the same 3 or 4 teams competing for the title every year and the television ratings have been decreasing each year.
So, yeah people are going to keep watching. But a sea change like this can definitely damage a sport.
